Im going to be a dad!!

I'm quite glad I've got a son...
Enjoy the younger years, well except the terrible twos...and then the five to eight stage where they say nothing but "Why?" And then puberty and then adolescence.

I'm sure my 18th-month old is just starting the terrible twos stages. He's just started refusing to go to bed and having proper little tantrums at bed time :D

Congrats Johnny

Maybe now the stress will go away? I didnt like the way they closed that thread at all.I have the exact same thing and had the exact same doctor outcome except no medication.Could not eat, lost tons of weight had a camera into my stomach and the all clear.Random burning sensations in my chest that came and went.Sometimes the body just tends to be prone to certain organs showing stress and stomach stress is the most common.

Hopefully now you can start to unwind and chill out more, at least until the baby starts crying heh.The G/F will be knackered after the birth and the 9 month wait you might want to look into getting some help at the start perhaps as i dont think she will take kindly to having to take up all the slack.Anyways best of luck :P

Congrats!!
We find out Wednesday if we are having a boy or a girl. 1st one so super excited :D
Started shoveling money into a 'baby fund' ;)

Hi, i know buddy, i was really disappointed with them closing it, i was only seeing if anyone had suffered with it and could maybe suggest a good method to help it :/

anyway, i think your right, the thought of having a baby has cheered me right up, and when he/she arrives im sure my anxiety will go.

what do you use to help it ?

Jonnyp

I should also say my standard new dad advice - if you get a little comforter for them - buy two ... you'll know why when their best comforter is covered in godknows what and they won't settle with nothing else.

Definitely this!

Luckily our little girl has never really got attached to any one "thing", one week it'll be "Snowy the Cat", the next "Tinkerbear" she got when she went to hospital and charmed all the nurses, it's currently "Pammy" that she got when Grandma took her to MacDonalds.

On the other hand my mates little girl grew totally attached to "Lamby" that a mutual friend got from America, she lost it and was inconsolable, 1 week of a very upset daughter + immense expense and another Lamby arrived.

Congrats though, it'll be great, DSLR + a full on back up system for your hard drive is now required, I can't tell you how much i panicked when i was in London watching our estate in Newcastle flood via Facebook / Twitter knowing all my photos were on my desktop that was getting horribly close to floating away...

Was they ok or was it damaged ?
Im allready working in a backup system :) a couple of 2tb hdds should do it i think ! Well untill they are full of course lol.

Your anxiety may dissapear, but rest assured that it will only be because you are so immensely sleep deprived that you can't focus on it.

Lets hope so ! Im going to see the doctor again this week about it and demand some propper answers and a way forward! Lets see how that goes.

Congrats mate you wont regret it (apart from the first 3-6 months can be difficult).

Best piece of advice I can give is to ignore all advice and find your own way - every kid is different :)
