What sort of temps are you getting, when you are running Prime 95?
Also, how long has it been since you reseated your cooler?
Some fresh paste may help, if your temps are to high.

max it went upto today was 63 degrees C. Thats a whole morning with all windows closed while it was running.

I am now running memtest, how long do i need to run it for? I have set the memory volt from 1.5 to 1.65 its running at 1600 8-8-8-24

Is the memory rated to run at such tight timings? Errors with RAM will definitely cause Prime95 to fail.

If you are running Memtest, best to run 1 stick at a time, for a few hours at least.
And use the XMP profile.

Yeh its supposed to do 1600mhz at 8-8-8-24 between 1.5-1.65 volt. Is that right?

If you've been running it at 1.65v you could try reducing it to 1.5v (sometimes extra voltage can cause instability).

I upped it from 1.5 to 1.65 tonight to perform the memtest.

Try the RAM at 1.575v its what I need for my RAM at 1600mhz

Tbh reading back at your post it seems whats happening is user error and you not setting up the correct voltage and timings etc for your system.

Ok, well it'd be a good idea to run the memtest at the original 1.5v to see if you get any errors. If you do, increase it a bit.

The CPU should obviously not have any trouble at stock speed and voltage.
