IC Diamond 24 Carot And GTX 780 ?

My 780 since I got it about a month ago has been running very hot, Idle of 50'c and that was before the heatwave, Took off the shroud and someone at the factory must have run out of TIM as there was literally only enough to cover half a skittles/smarties worth.

I have some IC Diamond 24 Carot which I just used on my 4770K and it's really good stuff but would it be safe on the 780 ?

Silly question I know but I'd rather be safe than sorry

It should be and should bring it in at a great temp however check with someone else as I'm not sure but as far as I can tell it should be as it's no different from a CPU but I don't want to be held responsible

Idle has gone down just a little
Bearing in mind there was hardly any TIM on before ergo 50'c idle

And yes I am running a modded bios, Tested to death over on another forum, 1202/3206 stable
