Time to start banning Udyr.

The amount of people who will be playing him purely for the skin and have never played him before will be amusing to watch... The only time I'd ban Udyr is to really annoy anyone who has bought the skin :p
Other than that he's still not ban worthy since he's too easily kited by anyone with any kind of CC.

I think the primary concern when banning Udyr is not the threat he poses from the opposite team, but the the threat he poses from within your own. :p

Okay for sure playing this game in the kids holidays is a daft idea. Every game a troll or afk in days, Silver 2 to almost Silver 5 and nothing you can do about it is so frustrating.
I even tried some Duo queue's with a mate and had 2 of our 4 games with 2 AFK's on our team! One came back after 10 mins with "sorry I had to go eat".

Le SIGH. Stick to Normal and ARAM for a few months.

-edit-
And yes. the amount of terrible Udyr players since this morning is just shocking, we had one who maxed Bear first -_- to "try and feed my mate in mid". Yeah, that worked well (0-6-0 on the mid).

Stop blaming your team, you won't get anywhere.

My duo partner is away for 10 days. I'm in gold and usually play bot lane but can jungle OK. If anyone wants to duo (Silver and up) my ingame name is PandaAtTheDisco

I don't get this.

yeah he said the Udyr was crap, but he also telling people about the amount of AFK's in the game, It's very difficult to win games when its 3 v 5 or even 4 v 5.

It's also very hard to carry a team full of fools. It's a team game and if you team mates don't play as a team you can blame them. It's that simple.

I'm sure everyone has had games they was winning until a team mate decided to go face check somewhere die then the rest of his team die in a 4 v 5 dive fest under a tower or something.

Some games are unwinnable yes. But if you have 100s of games in silver, it just means you're currently a silver level player. Nothing wrong with that, you'll improve over time. Your team has nothing to do with it. If you're good enough you will go up, no matter what.

He has a point though, all I see here lately is people complaining about how bad there team were, not once has someone said "Oh man I failed my promotion today, I played so bad and lost it for my team" and don't tell it hasn't happened to everyone because I know for a fact it has.

Thanks!

On a side note, I'd like some advice on my champion pool and the roles/kinds of builds I go for and how I can expand on it. I, myself am a jungle main and have been ever since I can recall (before that, more specifically before level 30, I played support predominantly, and never really took the time and effort to play any other role) so therefore I have next to no experience of playing a solo lane or AD. I do have minor experience in the top lane but not to the greatest of qualities, having only played around 5 ranked games in the top lane in 100~ games. Because I play jungle mostly I'm only really used to playing more "tanky" and "support" roles ever since the meta was changed from before (according to friends). This subsequently means that I have only minor experience playing more DPS heavy, squishy champs. I play with a 'balls-deep' playstyle because I usually have tonnes of health and resistances and I can just do whatever the hell I want. Now I've tried playing some other lanes but I hate playing squishy champions, even in the jungle champions such as Eve I despise playing her because you generally build her orientated around damage unless your team needs a tank. I feel like my playstyle can't be transferred to other roles since in solo lanes you need to play very cautiously, which I don't have any experience of. Any advice/tips to help me get started with playing solo lanes other than the obvious practice?

TL;DR I hate playing squishy champs because I play tanky champions with tanky builds because I main jungle. How can I learn the playstyle of a solo laner so I can start to play these roles?

Thx

Third time lucky. This time had two great games so now bronze 2.

good keep it up i wasn't so lucky back to back duoq bot meant i was told you can't ADC or we troll.....

well the second game they went 0-9 1-8 so i'm so glad they didn't troll.

Not my turn to leave silver V just yet haha. I will not make this mistake again tho I will duoq my play offs so i can force adc or support.

Mid and ADC are the only roles which are really dominated by squishy champions however to varying degrees. Top lane is currently a bit iffy (people are realising ranged is just better) but bruisers are still very popular, most junglers can be played top very successfully as well.

For mid, I would advise starting off with less risky champions that do not rely on a very fast in/out aggression styles, champions like Lux and Orianna, they have combos which can be used from a distance, have no trouble farming and are effective late game. One champion you might like is Ryze as he is a mage/bruiser hybrid as his spells scale with mana, allowing him to build tanky mana items instead of pure AP.

In general, playing in a solo lane (for reference I am a mid/jungler most of the time with a bit of top) is just about map awareness, you need to know what is going on at all times and adapt to it, really in the same way you would as a jungler but you are in direct control of a lane, meaning you can use your influence in one lane to effect the other two.

Yeah, like I said I still play top lane from time to time if our bot lane are duoq partners but I still tend to go for tanky champions (Renekton mainly), I'm always scared to play DPS champions since I usually feed, and in ranked that's a definite no-go. Thanks for the advice though, I guess I'll just have to play normals some more and learn, even though it's flooded with trolls who instalock whichever role they decide they want to play.

Tonight i start my climb to silver 1, every time i get promoted to a higher division i always lose my first 3 games, is rather annoying :P

Shouldnt take me long tbh, i get between 18 - 30 points per win and lose between 8 - 16 for a loss.

I wondered how that worked since you start with 0 in the new division. So you have to lose 3 games when 0 to drop?
