I have posted already but I am having video problems as well

i7 4770s Intel Dh87RL Mobo

One minute I get video from the onboard - then restart after a preiod of the comp being off and i get no video from either DVI digital or HDMI - there are set as primary and secondary in the bios.

I do the bios reset that I have had to do several times that has resulted in me getting video on the screen - thsi time round its doing nothing

Now I am wondering if there is an issue with the cpu gpu chip or is the motherboard that is faulty??

I have asked for RMA on the mobo already I am wondering if I should RMA the cpu at the same time.

I havent taken the cpu out yet - I have built several pcs before and never had a problem seating the cpu - it went in fine and seemed fine for a bit.

However I have had video issues since the start - I thought it was bios settings but they are not making a difference

Well I have just had to photo the mobo pins to show they are fine which to me they were.

I have then been packaging up the mobo and tried replace the back platic cover and now damaged several of the pins.

I am livid with myself - but its purely as a result of having to return the bloody thing.

What do think my chances are of getting this RMA'd - I didnt buy from Oc becuase they didnt stock the board I wanted?

I`m at a loss, as to how you could bend the pins, just by replacing the plastic cover.
In regards to your chances of getting it replaced, I would say 0. Gigabyte are the only boards manufacturers who would repair bent/broken pins.
You might be lucky, but I would say you are looking at buying another mobo.

This is the mobo before I put the plastic case on

The pins are really small but they all look fine

Tha black cover has a silly 2 sections that stick out in the cpu area?? I didnt see that, obviously not expecting them to be there and they are what have damaged the pins

Have you got a pic of the board as it is now with the bent pins? If its not to bad you may be able to gently bend them back

Its too bad, here is a picture of it with the plastic cover underside.

Do the 2 protruding parts of the cover look normal - they would be touching the cpu pins the whole time?

I count 7 or 8 pins that are deffo bent. If you RMA it will be rejected so you've got nothing to lose trying to bend them back.

As far as the cover goes ive had 2 different sorts, one that clips on top of the socket cover and another that sits on the socket and you clamp it in place as if it were the cpu.

+1 you will not be able to RMA that now :(
