Veron wasn't as bad as a lot tend to believe, he did well for us in numerous games and in the European times he was often one of the best players on the pitch.
Berbatov top scored for us in one season too.

Not sure how either are "truly terrible".

That's not hard, Wigan are besting us at the moment. :p

Back on subject. Looks like the rumour wheel is heading for chelski more and more with Higuain.

At the start of the summer it all looked so promising and now mid July we are only one French kid up on last year.

All sounds very familiar but at least this year we are getting rejected rather than not even making a move.

Let's hope the next few weeks see some proper movement.

For the amount of money you spent on them, i would say they werent exactly great signings barring the few good performances of both players for your side...which was far and in between.

But the point i was trying to make which obviously you didnt get, was that all managers at some point make terrible signings or signings that dont work out. But in Arsenal's case, its been one too many:p

Actually i was just about to post something about Higuain wanting to go to Chelsea or rather he says Moaninho wants him when i was under the impression that Moaninho said the only transfer target they have in mind is Rooney. So god knows what happening, i think the papers and tabs are all trolling Arsenal hard at the moment. But so far it only seems like Daily Fail is reporting it and from what i read, its absolute BS, no real sources saying that Mourinho wants Higuain.


Tbh about the whole Suarez thing, if we bid £40mill then id rather see us put that bid to Utd and get Rooney rather than Suarez. Personally i think if Rooney is made to be the top man then he will work his backside off and get back to his goalscoring ways. But Arsenal wont bid £40mill for either Rooney or Suarez seeing as we wouldnt give Real £25mill and now strangely enough they want £37mill for him...which i think is a load of stinking dog poo in all honesty. Higuain is good but not £37mill worth tbqh.

£70mill warchest we have been told by Arsenal time and time again, it seems more likely that its £7mill rather than £70mill:p

Higuain is not worth the money Madrid are asking. He is worth maximum 30 million euro. Higuain is good but not great he can be a bit wasteful at times. He has a lot to prove still and if u are going to spend 40 million + on a player he should be world class.

I know this is about Higuin, but it could equally describe Luis Suarez:

Suarez is not worth the money Liverpool are asking. He is worth maximum 30 million euro. Suarez is good but not great he can be a bit wasteful at times. He has a lot to prove still and if u are going to spend 40 million + on a player he should be world class.

He has a conversion rate of just under 40% how is that wasteful?

I doubt chelski would spend that much on him considering how their new manager didn't play him as much. Seems silly to then buy him at his new club.

Seriously though Rooney believes his own hype too much. He is no where near the player he was or should be at this time in his career.

I think he will do well at his new club but maybe only for four or five months. He's on his way down not up and certainly not worth £250k per week of anyone's money.

I think he would do best a club where they all worship him.

And unwillingness to shoot.
And his short passing is very hit and miss.
And that he can't dribble past people anymore.
And that he's lost a load of pace.
And that he's atrocious at taking penalties.
And the fact he couldn't trap a bag of cement.

Other than that, World Class.
