Hi, can anyone recommend me some high drain protected 18350 batteries, i currently have some Efest 18350 protected 900mAh 3.7v Li-Ion batteries that no longer charge and also do not fit my Poldiac, they fit fine in my own mod but are a little to long for the polly @ 37mm long!

I'm not sure there are high drain & protected batteries but I'd suggest AW IMRs (though they arent protected - any particular reason you wanted protected?)

Right seems like i have an issue with kanger protank

. It seems to be leaking as just now i pulled off the plastic tube to cover the mouthpiece and found that there was some e juice on the mouthpiece.

Do these tanks tend to leak from the mouthpiece, when i filled it up yesterday i made absolutely sure that there was no liquid that went down the middle tube...in fact i took a piece of tissue and slid it in there just to make sure.

But now im finding there is juice on the mouthpiece, i had the provari turned off when i put it in my pocket and had it standing upright in my pocket so cannot see how any liquid could get onto the mouthpiece. Ive made sure the tank is sealed ie its pretty tight against the provari.

Could it be that its a pretty hot day that could have caused the leakage?? ie the temp in my pocket??

Ive just opened up the tank and had a look at the atomiser and it seems that there is some juice there ie underneath the silicone grommit that covers the wicks.

Is that normal??

You'll find that some vapour condenses on the mouthpiece and can build up. I can't offer much advice on the protank though.

Ok thanks, ill keep an eye on it. For the record i didnt overfill it, i left about half an inch gap from the top of the tank when filling it up yesterday.

I'm sure one of the other lads who runs a protank will offer some advice, but occasionally you just gotta wad up a corner of your tshirt and dry it off a bit

The heat doesn't help though because it thins the liquid.

Mine haven't done that, well have had it once i think. Its probably what Devrij said, condensation or likely the heat too.

I found i had this a lot with the old CE5's, but not with the KPT's.

FWIW, i fill the tank as much as i can, almost to the point of it overflowing down the middle tube.

Did you / have you removed any wicks?

Nope no wicks removed although when i unscrewed the bottom part off and took out the atty, it seems like there was quite a bit of liquid around where the silicone grommit is. Even though the grommit was pushed down tight, it seems like the wicks arent actually covered by the grommit..they kind of stick out a bit.

Anyhow ive cleaned it up now so lets see if it leaks again, its not a huge issue as i just found some liquid around the mouthpiece but it could be that its condensation thats causing it. As long as i dont end up with a pocket full of liquid then i can live with condensation.

That sounds like how it should be (if I've read your post right)

Make sure the head is screwed into the base tight and not cross threaded.

Yeh i think ill take it apart tonight as im at work at the moment. Will give it a nice cleanout and make sure everything is tight...could be the atty is buggered up as i was playing around with it yesterday before i filled it up. Might put the spare one in and see if that stops the leaking around the grommit unless its meant to be that way ie the wicks sticking out a bit under the grommit.

The wicks on mine stick out under the grommet. Both on the one I've got connected and on the brand new head I've got in a sealed pack

I tend to get some liquid seep out of the mouthpiece when I turn it upside down to unscrew it but I'm guessing that's from whatever is soaked into the atty rather than a leak in the actual tank part of it.

It does thanks! It looks like the same oring, so I guess you still need to be careful of over tightening your atty.

This may be a stupid question, but you have made sure you put the rubber seal back on the atomiser? I once forgot and it was leaking from the mouthpiece.

Do you chaps swap out your wicks when changing juice? I decided to try this awful Vermillion River Menthol stuff, right when some apple juice turned up and want to empty the Protank and replace it.

How ling will it take for the menthol to burn away?

not long, just a few tokes. get some spare replacement heads for it, a pack of 5 is a tenner. i have looked for cheap chinese ones.

If anyone has seen any replacement wicks for the protank ( the middle metal tube things with the wicks on) cheap on any chinese sites please provide a link, i cant find any and im going through one a week on my protank

fast tech sell the protank device cheap i see it, but i cant see any replacement heads etc. can you spot them?

They've not started selling them yet. They will eventually though.

Healthcabin sell them but it's probably worth adding more to the order as it's not free delivery. I've heard all their stuff is genuine and the Kanger Evods are a good price too:

Are the Protanks the "go to" rebuildable? I'm getting a bit fed up with my V3s. Rewicking and rewiring helps a lot but there is too many shortcomings with these

Yep ive got the grommit on and its covering the wick. Anyhow after i cleaned it up and re-sealed it back, havent seen any leakages yet...i think i didnt tighten the bottom part tight enough so im thinking that is what caused the leak because after a day or 2, i havent seen any leaks.

Got my new flavours from Simon today, got strawberry and apple tart. He threw in a small bottle of raspberry which was kind of him. Currently got strawberry in my protank, 18mg nicotine level and its pretty nice. Getting one hell of a throat hit but probably due to the fact that its 18mg nic level rather than the 10mg nic that was my bubble gum flavour.

Going to try out apple tart and raspberry as well later today...looks like im going to be spending most of my time cleaning out my protank as i try different flavours lol.
