STEAM: Card Trade Thread

Was just thinking, seeing as the prices of these cards are now down to ~10p

Anyone else think the market price will increase as the sale finishes?

I assume the only way to get them then would be trading, might be worth holding on to cards if you want to chance making more money!

I've got a level 5 summer badge now but I'm sure some people a few months down the line will be wanting to get theirs...at £1 a card? :p
 
I did wonder the same....

Whos going to chance buying up some of the foil badges in the hope to make a few quid in a month or two!? :D
 
crunchman, I think that's guaranteed. As rarity increases, price will go up too. People shouldn't really be selling them now - trading is fine, but if you want to sell, hang on to them for a week or two and watch the price climb.

how long will games drop cards for?? I know you only get a set of say 4 out of 8 just for owning the game, but will you continue to get doubles like i have been getting after you run out of drops??

And how rare are booster packs?

Assuming you are referring to Game trading cards and not the Summer Getaway ones; Once you have all the card drops for a game, that is it. You don't get anymore regardless of how long or often you play.

Booster pack drops are dependent on other people crafting badges, your eligibility (no more card drops for a game) and your XP (the higher it is the better the drop rate). I've yet to have one and I don't know anyone else who has either so I'd say pretty rare although it is early days yet. It is also worth pointing out that most of the time selling a Booster Pack is the best way of using it. You can usually get enough wallet funds after fees to be able to buy three cards you actually need, rather than getting three randoms.
