PCB and parts recycling?

Hey guys,

I have an absolute ton of old pc parts, xbox 360 bits, broken power suppliers, cases, wires, etc etc in the attic, is there anywhere that they can be recycled? Or is it literally just a "bin it" thing?

Half of them still probably work but are redundant to me!

Take them to your local council recycling centre, they will have a section for electronics.

We use a couple recycling firms for our IT disposal at the school I work at. They collect for free and recycle in compliance under the weee directive.

Do a search for IT equipment recycling...

itdisposal would be one

Yes, do this, but don't pick up other computer parts while you're there like I've done in the past!

Yeah me too, and when I get nagged into going somewhere to get rid of stuff, there's often the opportunity to pick up more stuff. Life is full of these challenges.
