Shamelessly copy pasta from another forum but its rare to find extensive multi gpu benchmarks.

Nvidia introduced a lot of new video cards in a pretty short amount of time over the past few months. First the new flagship arrived, the GeForce GTX Titan. Then came the 700 series, one new card after another in short succession: the GeForce GTX 780, GeForce GTX 770 en GeForce GTX 760. Today we'll be discussing the performance of SLI and 3-way SLI of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 700 series.

We tested the following configurations:

Nvidia GeForce GTX 760
Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 SLI
Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 3-way SLI
Nvidia GeForce GTX 770
Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 SLI
Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 3-way SLI
Nvidia GeForce GTX 780
Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 SLI
Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 3-way SLI

One of the very worst reviews I have looked at in a long time, beaten only by the 4 way Titan review the same people did.

If they are going to review hardware like that whether it be AMD or NVidia they should use a CPU overclock and settings to avoid GPU bottlenecks.

@LtMatt you posted this, did you have a point of view on the review.

Nope as i said in the OP copy pasta from another forum. As it cards i don't own i don't really have an opinion.

Just hope that site does not do a 4 way review of the HD 9970 when it launches, their reviewing practices leaves a bit to be desired.:D

Massive bottlenecks at that, a pair of 780's only averaging ~102fps at 1080 is positively terrible. Some of these reviewers should really get some education on performance testing, if they'd checked utilization they'd have noticed.

Fixed, and 1080p is indeed no place to be testing high end 3way, god forbid 4way.

I'll post it if they do, makes no difference to me. I'll leave it for others to pick apart the flaws as i do when i post benches from gamegpu and other sites.

its obvious he prefers ati lol :D

That is true but there are no benchmarks from AMD in this review.

Probably just as well. If they had posted AMD multi GPU scores as well, people would have started arguing over which was better based on a totally flawed review and setup.

For a bit of fun I ran my GTX 690s @stock on 3dmark11 with my 3960x @4.9, I scored just over 25046 which is nearly 2000 more than they scored with 3 x GTX 780s. On the same system 3 x GTX 780s should be a little bit faster than a pair of GTX 690s.

I then looked up results in 3dmark11 for 3 x GTX 780s to see what overclock the review site was using on their 3960x and it looks like something between 4.2 and 4.3ghz which for a multi GPU review is a joke.

If you read the review they say a 7950/7970 Crossfire review is coming so i will post that as well when they do it.

Probably better off taking any problems you have with it up with them than me though. I'm just posting it here for people to discuss, as i do with gamegpu benchmarks. Those never go down well here either with Nvidia users for some reason.

So much cringe

Prepare your cringe meter. :p

Just a little bit of fun of course, not to be taken seriously. ;)

For one, I actually enjoy their reviews because they do not overclock massively or keep them at stock - then for me I can really compare to my own system to see whether or not an upgrade makes sense or not.

Their 3Dmark Firestrike is the same as mine ... well I get 200points more but I'm using the forceware 320.49.
Their 3dmark 11 score is 1000points higher than mine, but that makes sense if they run 4.3Ghz,

I know many OC to eliminate bottleknecks, but then again it's not all who OC their systems, so it's really nice once in a while to be able to compare your own results to something.

If they are doing an AMD review I hope they make a better job of it, I would really like to see a 4 way HD 7950 review from a site that knows what they are doing. I am surprised no one has tried it as you can buy all 4 cards for less than £1000.

I don't have any problems with the site, I just find their reviews are total rubbish.:D

Your gamegpu benchmarks are ok for NVidia users, my Titans and GTX 690s loved the Tomb Raider one you started as it showed how good quad sli scales on a proper setup with the right game.:D

Zero chance of me spending that much (£1000) on computer parts im afraid. :p

For normal use it is a bit impractical unless you are going to use waterblocks as well. But for one of those comparison reviews it could be quite entertaining, "£1000 to spend, 4 HD 7950s v 1 Titan" this would be a very bad day for the green team.:D

If you thought that review was bad check out this notebook GPU review. Its supposedly of 161 different GPUs but on the last few tests there are just over 20 GPUs tested & they even missed out the top AMD offerings. The first test has the 7970M besting all other cards but then its absent from the other tests...
