Can you run 3 monitors off this mobo, or is it up to the gpu about how much monitors it can handle?

You can run 3 displays from onboard graphics and/or in tandem with a dedicated gpu.

I think you could but at lower resolution when gaming, ideally adding a second 770 is the way to go for a triple monitor setup.

For SLI to work correctly the GPU's must be matched!! you can't even team a GTX 770 2 GB with a GTX 770 4GB as it will limit the 4GB card to the 2 Gigabyte card.

okay thanks, i wont be thinking about SLI any time soon i just wanted to know for the future
