grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

So English landlord owns three houses on my street, for some reason he only rents to Polish, which seems to be a revolving door, sometimes you get a quiet polite family, and then you get five or six blokes on the pop all day....

so two doors down we have the lesser, i count four blokes, one lady and one newborn, constant noise, music and a endless smell of cannabis coming over. Because the front room in this case is a bedroom they hangout in the garden regardless of the weather, they pee in the street...

reported to the council and had no response, anyone got any advise or success, my anger is with the landlord, and it all seems dodgy

You could (and I appreciate this may sound like a stupid idea) voice your concerns to the landlord, or the tenants themselves.

If that doesn't work then public urination is illegal so you could report it to the police, then go to the council if nothing gets done.

Go and knock the door and tell them to keep the noise down.

We had Lithuanians next to us that used to bang music out when we moved in.

I had to nip that in the bud straight away with showing them i'm not messing about and i wont put up with music being played that loud and until stupid o clock.

Guess what? No noise, and if they do play music its very low lol.

People like this test the water to see what they can get away with, they have no respect and you have to stand your ground.

You could just explain your situation to the tennants, be polite, perhaps bring a peace offering.

Some people maybe work from false assumptions and don't understand their actions effects on other people, but you've got to be the bigger man about it.
Maybe they're thinking "well no one is complaining so they must not mind"

If that doesn't work, poop through the letterbox.*

*May not be a serious suggestion

I think they'd be more interested in the cannabis but either way they won't be interested they'll just tell you to talk to the council

If they are using cannabis and peeing in the street, surely the police would be the most appropriate course of action. Obviously it may take a few tries to get any success, but would the landlord want that much police interest in one of his properties.

This does of course rely on the police turning up, so probably best to over egg your description of events.

if your renting just hand notice in and move to a better street, i have complained about problems in the past myself and have been threatened and had my wires cut externally for my sky and broadband etc.

if you are hard and can fight, ask them nicely first if they carry on then threaten them and say you will bring the big boys in ( this can work or fail massively depending on if you are hard and have a hard family who will be willing to wage war on them) is also an option. u could also phone cops every time u smell weed and say they are dealing and selling drugs, remain anonymous if u take this stance.

i tried speaking with them, when it gets noisy, but if i was to complain about, everything i would be around all the time, also English was not great from them, they turned the music down when i went around, its the fact they spend 18 hours a day in the garden which is the issue. they eat, pee, smoke dope, be loud, and just live under a gazebo.

anyway i can find out the landlord's name?

Let the council worry about the Landlord. You've been round the house and asked them nicely once. That's it. They won't be interested in you at all and it won't stop.

-1 keep diary of events for a few weeks regarding the ASB (music, urination). describe people & places and go into detail about what they are doing etc and how you feel at the time i.e angry/upset how it is affecting you. Run this diary for a few weeks.

-2 resubmit the complaint to the council ASB department. The council(s) are notoriously lazy. Threaten them with letters to the head councillor and local MP if your complaint isn't actioned. They will ask you to keep a diary. Submit the one you've collated and get the ball rolling immediately. Be firm with them. Demand a swift investigation and conclusion.

3- When you smell cannabis dial 101 and report it and also mention the newborn baby. Police are obliged to write a multi-agency report when children are involved in certain conditions/offences. You can do this anonymously if you like. If you are still keeping the diary from the council ASB, log that you've called 101 and write down the CAD reference they give into the diary. Also, keep it handy for your own records. Every time you smell cannabis and suspect it's them, keep dialling 101 and report it. Rinse and repeat, keep harassing the council/police as necessary. Life is too short to put up with people like this.
