I really didn't think Cav would get it this year. He's been out sprinted all through the spring stages - he is not the sprinter he used to be.

^ lol. It was pretty much on the line though so didn't really make a difference. Good to see some real competition for Cav. Kittel really showed his mettle this tour.

Cavs lead out is never as good as SKYs, but he was going very well until Argos blocked them on that final corner and lead Kittel out to victory

I did weep a bit for Chris Froome, he looked really really happy

Cav's leadout went to early and fell appart just before the last corner which is like the most important bit. He had like half the guys leading him out last year but they did the crucial bit of getting him to the last corner in a good position.

The race was over by that time though, it wouldnt have made a difference.

I thought I read he wanted to focus on the classics but don't quote me on that. I think if he wanted another TdF win one of them would switch teams.

Cav relies to much on a lead out - its old hat now. Marcel Kittel and André Greipel seem to do well enough without the full team support.

How the heck do they do that with the Arc de Triomphe? The statue things on the front walls were even casting shadows. Very clever.
