Which 27" 2560 x 1440 monitor

Having lost faith with the Dell 2713HM I'm starting to wonder whether there is in fact a good 27" alternative out there that isn't hit by either bad IPS backlight bleed or has other quality issues.

Restore my faith in my pursuit, the Samsung S27B970 is glossy which is a no no for me and expensive.

The Asus PB278Q also seems like a backlight bleed lottery.

Any other alternatives / opinions?

Seems to be fairly similar specs and I can't find any complaints via google referencing back light bleed.

Reckon the vp2770-led is about the best of the bunch though.

Well, yeh, I spent hours researching which one to get after the Dell debacle

Mine isn't perfect, but its a lot better than the Dell.

I've had two (one was an RMA return for a stuck pixel) and neither have had problems. Does seem very hit and miss though .

Unfortunately you are right, especially with the 1440p screens it seems.

My previous SPVA screen had zero bleed.

It's a real shame, my other option are 2 good 24" but I don't really have the desk space to have them in the right place.

I'd definitely still be looking towards a 1440p screen. I certainly don't regret getting one and 24 inch 1080p looks a bit small and jagged now in comparison.

I have this! Brilliant monitor, great colours and it's the most solid monitor I have owned! Maybe i got lucky as no bleed for me!

I've been considering the Asus too but the PWM backlighting was said to give some people migraines. I might have to give this one a go though!

Reading a bit more, there seems to be no screen adjustment menu on this? Need to do some more research to see if it can be calibrated correctly.

I've had the Asus for a while now after my Hazro packed in.
It's been a joy to use with very little bleed.

Let us know how you get on when it arrives

We it arrived, first impressions are good. Can't spot any dead pixels and apart from the normal IPS glow, I can't spot any significant bleed. Need to check in a dark room later but pleased so far!

Just an update. It's a keeper. Really enjoying this monitor for gaming and photo post processing.
