Bottle necking ?

would i be bottle necking my system if i had the Gigabyte Z87-HD3 Intel Z87 with the MSI Geforce GTX 770 Lightning

It depends on the CPU,

I assume it's atleast an i5 4670k (non-k maybe)

So no, no bottleneck there.

Do you have an SSD ? if not it would be a good choice to invest in one as mechanical hard drives are so slow compared to an SSD.

yes i have a Toshiba SSD 128GB and i have a Intel Core i5-4670K 3.40GHz (Haswell)

Yep that will be fine.

I haven't experienced any bottlenecking with with a 3570K and GTX680.

he has probably seen that im new and thought it would be a good idea to tell me (a noob) that SSDs are better and faster than HDDs, however im already aware of this.

My 4670K and 770 work fine together.
