Getting the wife a iPhone 4S (US if it matters), anything she needs to know?

Up to now my wife has had Symbian/Android phones, but it had a mishap with a bowl of water, and apparently she'd like an iPhone. So... I'm getting her the iPhone 4S 16GB white.... anything she needs to know about it, or would be useful to know/do? She is non-techy. She has a cack PC, and I doubt she will be interested in iTunes, but the app market sure.

I've never had an Apple product so I can't advise her.

I guess knowing how to import her google contacts might be useful.

Setup an Apple ID if you haven't already, and make sure that iCloud is enabled. Best bet for backing up the device.

Use CardDAV for your Google Contacts (plenty of guides available online). Aside from that, it's really dependent on what she will use the phone for (aside from the usual bits and pieces). If she's got a Gmail account, I'd personally say the app is better than using Mail, but it won't download email in the background (which may or may not be an issue). It will of course give you push notifications though.

Cool. Thanks :-)

Just a general update on this really. My wife's absolutely loves her 4S and is very pleased with it, and even likes the new IOS7 update. The only negative is that the battery is pretty pants.
