fabregas wont see man utd as a more attractive option than barca

he doesn't have to. that's why.

Where did I say he would see it as more attractive?

If he's so assured and wants to say so much, I'm sure he could have made a statement quite easily considering how active he is on social media too. Instead he's stayed oddly quiet on it all.

i'll be the first to admit, i quite clearly stated i couldn't see RVP at united .... and it happened.

fabregas is different. he isn't approcahing the last year of his contract, he doesn't need to win things and he isn't approaching 30. he's also at the club he'd been with since a youngster.

just as he hasn't said he is assured, he also hasn't said he is unhappy either. that's because he doesn't have to.

i'm not saying there is zero chance of fabregas going to united, i'm there are reasons he may be persuaded but not with a bid of £30m that then increases to £35m.

Manchester United are the champions of England.

Why does Soldado want to step down to Spurs?

soldado has been loyal to valencia and valencia do need the cash. badly. apparently he would waive any fee's if a deal did go through to help them further.

and levy needs to show bale that we are serious about competing.

Go away united! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23404946

i reckon there are two reasons why.

1. obviosuly fabregas is vital for barca

2. Fabregas is a gunner/catalan threw and threw and would never in a million years join United.

Sorry united fans but this aint happening. 99% not going to happen. the odds are against u big time.

He is a loss, yes.

But a lot of great clubs lose great managers, they are still fantastic clubs and they still go on, they don't suddenly become an unattractive place to go, especially when they are the champions of their domestic league.

Lots of players move to specific clubs not just for name and history, but because of current state of affairs and manager/players who are already inside that club.

Moyes is unprove. this could be teh decline of United, who knows but it is a risk going to United as too much has changed behind the scenes to try and mount the same success as last season.

And why move to united? why downgrade yourself to playing at united with all these uncertanty?

Who would you rather train and play with week in week out? Messi or RVP? Xavi or carrick? List goes on

from that link

Left-back Leighton Baines and midfielder Marouane Fellaini, both of whom worked under Moyes at Everton, have also been linked with moves to Old Trafford - where the transfer record remains the £30.75m they paid Tottenham for striker Dimitar Berbatov in 2008.
But none of those moves have materialised as yet and when asked if he appreciated why some United fans were becoming anxious, Moyes replied: "I can understand that feeling.
"But there have been quite a few changes. Other managers have changed their clubs, too, and everybody thought this might be the summer when transfers are done later in the month.
"That was always the thought I had when I came into the club. You have to remember I only started on 1 July, so in truth I have only been in the job three weeks at this present time."

sack your PR man, moyes.

Spurs bid €26m (+ €4m incentives) for Roberto Soldado, Valencia expected to confirm deal

Monday, July 22nd, 2013

It appears that Spurs sporting director Franco Baldini is a quick worker.
Spanish paper Cadena Ser, who originally confirmed that Baldini was in Valencia to discuss the transfer of Roberto Soldado, have confirmed this Tuesday evening that a deal is close.
Tottenham placed a bid of 26 million euros, plus 4 million in incentives, which is expected to close the deal for Soldado.
Valencia are reportedly holding out for 30 million euros but the Valencia board of directors are meeting on Tuesday and are expected to confirm the deal.
Cadena Ser add that Soldado is keen on a move to White Hart Lane and has already agreed personal terms with Spurs – believed to be 3 and a half million euros per season.
They also suggest that if Spurs pay 20 million euros of the fee in cash, the deal will be for sure be ratified
Valencia president Amadeo Salvo was quoted on Radio Marca on Monday night all but confirming the transfer.
Salvo said on Saldado’s 30 million release fee: “What’s being offered isn’t far from that.”
Further discussions between Baldini and Valencia are also expected on Tuesday morning.[/QUOTE]

tomorrow could be interesting. i'm not used to this swift transfer business as a spurs fan.

Why did Eto'o, Ronaldinho, Deco, Ibrahimovic, Thiago, Villa etc all leave then jonneymendoza?

quite a silly question.

SOme of those players left becasuse they did not fit in the barca style of football such as Ibra.

Villa was hampard with injuries and played second fiddle to fabregas.

Ronaldinho stayed at Barca for a good while and moved on. he did not stay just for two years and ****ed off lol.

Thiago left because his behind fabregas in the packing order, simple as that.

Eto? not too sure but he left Inter milan who already had a brilliant squad and went on to win loads of trophies.

United dont have a brilliant squad. IMO Fergie punched way above teh weight of that squad. It takes someone special to put a league winners medal over Danny Wellbeck lol.

You give me just a single damm reason why fabregas moving will benefit him and his career.

Which of those joined utd? :p

I think it's going to take fabregas going to every utd fans house and tell them before they get the message. Flogging a dead horse, moyes better move on before it's too late

I don't understand the 'lack of a brilliant squad'? Out of United's starting 11, the following would walk into any team in England:

David De Gea
Rio Ferdinand
Nemanja Vidic
Rafael da Silva
Michael Carrick
Shinji Kagawa
Wayne Rooney
Robin van Persie
Javier Hernandez

Admittedly Vidic isn't his former self and Kagawa is still a prospect, but the others are some of the best in the country. You could also put up an argument for Evra on his day (which doesn't happen much).

I'm sorry but the above walks all over Spurs, hence why we won the title and you didn't even finish in the top 4.

Add Fabregas, Garay and Baines = title winning squad.

Its a great squad but its not about the quality of the squad its about who your opposition are. I don't feel confident of keeping the title next season without a serious buy in the midfield and preferably a replacement left back. If we lose Rooney we need a couple of quality players.

Agreed. :p

This may be the case. But they might weigh his value against having £40m odd to buy some defenders - their main weakness for a while now.

2. Fabregas is a gunner/catalan threw and threw and would never in a million years join United.

Catalan doesn't really matter and "Gunner" definitely doesn't matter. Arsenal aren't what they were and haven't been our rival for a long time now. That wouldn't stop him.

I don't really think it'll happen either but it's still a possibility at the moment.

We're arguably the biggest club in the world, we won the Premier League at a canter last season, it was almost effortless. Moyes is no SAF, but he's not a clueless idiot either. We'll be quite fine. We do need some midfield reinforcement though. Barcelona's new coach hardly has a massive list of honours next to his name does he?

Now Barcelona have Neymar filling either of the wide positions that Cesc would occupy if Xavi was playing, he might be a bit uncertain. It's entirely possible. Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets are the ideal midfield 3, yes Xavi is knocking on a bit but he plays extremely well next to Iniesta. He can be a rotated midfielder or the central midfield superstar of Man Utd, with his friend RvP.

I can see how this transfer could happen, but I'd still be very surprised.

It's very amusing to note that the Arsenal fans are more bothered than the Barcelona fans about it though. :p

I fully believe we're being encouraged to bid, and aren't just throwing bids at a completely defiant club and player, praying that they'll all of a sudden accept what is essentially a slightly higher bid. Something has been said/done behind the scenes that is driving this.

We will see, hopefully with the new coach in place this will be resolved sooner rather than later, so we can move on to other targets if required.

Maybe Rooney is part of the fabregas deal :D

This would be very sensible but player swaps are so rare.

Really ? about half of those would walk into most teams and I can't see more than 2 or 3 walking into the Man City team

The thing is I can see edited posts, so you agree that they wouldn't all walk into any side, also some selective pairings there :p ;)
