*** League of Legends ***

Thats me in silver 1 now, My promo series was good, won first game as TF then the second i was playing udyr jungle, failed so hard at the start, managed to die whilst invading amumus red because they must have warded it as darius and karthus collapsed on me, managed to get my buffs back by killing him, after that i think i took every single buff from the enemy team and ammumu was so far behind. Eventually we won the game, our ezreal build trinity force and an infinity edge and was wrecking everything.

Gold 5 here i come, when i get there, im going to aim for platinum, not sure if i could make it, but ill try, there is 4 months left of the season, so hopefully i can do it.

What happens when the season ends, does another start straight back up or is there a gap where you just need to play normal?

The season ends, you get an elo compression applied (basically people go up about 100elo) then you get a soft rank reset, you do promo matches again and then those results add to the previous MMR and your new division is worked out - which for most will be exactly the same unless you got carried hard and are something like diamond but belong in silver. Aswell as any borders/skins etc youv earnt depending on your division.

unless they change it for this year...but I doubt it.

:D

I think you'd want to forget it fast if you were. In theory building MR was a good call... but there was no damage to back it up. Those few occasions where Malphite went in with his ult and hit 4 or 5 people just had no-one close to back it up, lol.

Nature of ARAM I guess.

Oh yeh definately, thats the joy (and frustration) of ARAM. We had a game the other day where my friends had Malphite and Lux and I was on Orianna. I would shield my friend on Malphite, he would ulti the enemy, I would use my ult and W then my friend would Lux ult over the top. The Wombo Combo damage was crazy. The last teamfight my friend landed the malphite ult on 4 of the enemy, and they never got out alive after that as the cc + damage was too strong :D

Do you ever watch the EU lcs? Sk gaming had a cool comp, they had a rengar jungle, shen top (may have been the other way round, can't remember) and an orianna mid, rengar would ult so he was stealthed, oriannas ball would be on him and shen would port onto him and he'd jump straight into the mid of the team, orianna ball would pull them all in, and shen would taunt the entire team, looked amazing when they could pull it off.

I do watch the EU and NA LCS but I must have missed that game. Going to try that out with my friends in a normal game for the lols. That sounds really fun :D

Another basic one a friend and I did was a TF and Shen combo. TF would use his ult and I would time my Shen ult so when TF appeared there was a Shen with him. We got some good reactions out of the enemy team and made us giggle.

Yeah that's another good one, the shock factor they get is so good, usually they don't have any reactions to it.

Nice. Next game I played I was on Rammus. And about 30 seconds in the Karthus 'crashed' and didn't come back for 15 minutes. To make matters worse we were against Ashe, Taric, Malhazar and a couple of others. For a 4v5 we didn't do too badly but it was so tedious. They had so much stun, silence, slow and heals/shields that it got a point where we could barely do anything without them being stupid. I did somehow pick up a Quadra kill on Rammus in 1 of the earlier team fights which was... unexpected.

Game after we had a fairly good set up and this time our Volibear quits. And we were against 3 ADCs! Silvir, Ashe, Caitlyn and a bloody Evelyn somehow managing to get into melee range before becoming visible constantly. We won in the end even with the man down but it was a damn tough fight.

Game I was watching a few days ago in NA where TF ult'd in on a Lee Sin to try and stop him fleeing. He timed the kick so perfectly that TF appeared and got sent flying off the screen before he could even auto attack. Looked epic :D

My friend that was once 700-900 ELO (maybe lower I cant remember the exact figures) has played the game and in Season 3 after lots and lots and lots of ranked matches he is now Platinum 4. I can see how much he has improved from when he started playing and feel his skill level reflects where he is now, he also only solo queues.

Thats fantastic, I myself feel like ive improved so much, coming from bronze 4 to silver 1 and hopefully to platinum before the season is done, i feel great that i've even achieved silver 1, your friend is a good example that anyone if they're good enough can do it.

EDIT:

Joining a team can make you a better team player also, helps you read your team mates and enemys better.

aim high i'll be happy if i break gold :)

bronze 4 last season

silver 4 and silver 2 on my smurf this season. for all it's floors the league system makes me want to play more. which ofcourse makes me a better player. Still need to master playing ezreal though

I'd learn a jungler just in case. Someone easy and effective like Sejuani. Since you play mid already, perhaps add Kennen to your champ pool (he's easy to learn, you become real good with him in 20-30 games) since he can play top too.

If I don't get AD I just play vayne mid or top :D

Fortunately I haven't had to jungle yet.

This,

I play adc/support and if i meet a duoq i jungle.

I don't mid so i avoid it at all costs.

Agree 100% with your last comment. He plays mid mainly and plays a lot of Fizz and he can carry hard with Fizz. I don't know but I do think you need 2-3 go to champs, I've had them in the past but sadly play too much variation these days as I get bored playing the same 2-3 over and over again.

I have about 8 champs that i can play mid and win my lane every time, i have about 3 junglers 3 top laners 2 adcs and 2 supports,

To be honest it is extremely rare if i don't get to mid lane, 75% of the time i get it and if i don't get that i get top or jungle.

In silver people underestimate the damage fizz can output and often let him snowball.

I get bored after playing a champ a few times so always switch it up, probably the biggest reason I've dropped so much, only time I play a champ a few times in a row is if I'm playing ranked 5's and need to try.

What you could do whilst playing a champion multiple times, if you start to get bored of it, think of a goal you want to achieve, lets say silver 1 again, just view this champion as a tool to getting you there and you'll probably enjoy it more when you see the progression you're making.
