Moyes has never won a trophy, no new signings, Rooney can't stand him and a desperate lunge at one of Barca's marquee players... Nice 3-2 loss to a nobody team the other day btw.

So that fact that Fergie actually spoke to him, and recommended him for the job, means nothing then?

It is now we've got a hate-filled bitter having an episode, yes.

Thanks Andy.

Well leave the thread, you've targeted me because of past posts, I came here to talk about Suarez. I won't apologise for your narcissism.

What have you read to think that?

Real know that Suarez will choose them over any other club, they know Suarez is suspended until beyond the transfer window shuts and it's possible that after their spending already this window they need to shift Higuain before they can make a serious bid for Suarez.

Well if he moves league I'm not sure ban applies when he joined us I'm sure he was supposed to be banned but played anyway. Unless he served his full ban for Ajax but don't think he did. If Madrid know hiquain is going they would know an approx value so sure would bid anyway and that club is not short of cash imo

Ah, I see you haven't met kdd before? :p

I haven't had the "pleasure" no. :p

Anyways, to keep this vaguely on topic I'm praying we don't sign Suarez, we haven't heard anything solid directly from Arsenal apart from Wenger saying something along the lines of the players mentioned (Rooney, Higuain, Suarez) are all players we would go for quality-wise. Hopefully he's just talking hypothetically. :(

Why not leave it at that. Reckon Suarez is a player wenger wants, he could get the best out of him.

Well the clause is pretty important, if Liverpool want £55m and won't sell for a penny less then he's pretty much priced out of Arsenal's reach. I can't see them paying that but you never know.

Maybe Wenger does believe he can iron out his nasty streak, not sure it's possible though.

By bringing in a supposed good manager who would fail, he makes himself look even better? :p

There have been multiple recommendations for clubs to get managers from guys like Fergie before, who have been turd managers who have done poorly. Old boys club, would Fergie do that to Utd rather than other clubs, doubtful but the simple fact is a great manager at one club can be crap somewhere else, and vice versa. If the managers style of football, communication, training, rules all gel completely, or are complete opposites to what the players want... you can have a completely different outcome.

I do think Moyes poor record against better teams is, a bad sign. Ultimately Everton might not have had the squad to win cups but cup like games, big games come around every season and they lost a hell of a lot of them, even when basically minnows can come along and spank utd now and then, Derby did IIRC even when they were freaking awful. It doesn't speak brilliantly for his ability to get the tactics and motivation perfect for one game every now and then.... with Utd really aiming for cups and trophies every year it will be interesting to see if he can get the important games right when they come along.
