"Should Arsenal persist and have an improved bid accepted, it could come close to trebling their previous highest initial outlay on a transfer."

Reckon it will.

I can only assume his Agent told Arsenal of the clause, hence the £40,000,001 bid.

If he were to be sold the Liverpool board would be mad to sell to another EPL club. Get on the phone to Perez at RM and say '£40 million and he's yours' if they really want to sell.

RM are looking to offer 80m for Bale instead

But it's a pointless clause. Surely he heard of arsenals previous bids...we did lol

5 seconds on google and I've found an article from the Metro claiming we agreed a deal for Coates, a day before whoever that is tweeted :/

edit: coincidentally, the metro claimed Cavani was off to PSG the day he tweeted the Cavani stuff too. Does he work for the metro?

Anoter journo on twitter says Rooney is Arsenal's 1st choice but Suarez wants to move to Arsenal. There could be some truth to the bale to rm rumours also.

Coates:

Cavani

And to be clear, I'm in no way putting forward the Metro as a decent source. I just had a quick look on google to see exactly when news broke on those two deals to see whether this guy did break the news. There's loads of other sources reporting the deals on or before the dates of his tweets.

charquero is earlier on both

This "journo" breaking this so called Suarez should perhaps listen to what Brendan Rogers himself is saying. Unless a massive bid comes in....he isn't leaving.
I can't see Arsenal forking out 55mil plus
