To be fair to Michael Owen, I did years of 60 hour weeks of heavy lifting and intense physical work, 15 years of martial arts and never picked up anything more than a few cuts and bruises.

In 15 years of playing football I suffered from shin splints, ruptured my achillies tendon in my right foot, torn ligaments in both feet, dislocated my right shoulder, done both hamstrings on numerous occasions, suffered a concussion, dislocated my right index finger as well as burns and cuts.

I imagine the millions of pounds he has softens the blow of some squaddie having a bitch at him.
