Guys , whilst out fishing on Sunday I dropped my S4 in the lake , it was fully submerged for 10 seconds .

Luckily after it dried out everything is working fine except the battery is now draining down at a very quick rate and it seems to run hotter when the sat nav is on .

I also had a 370mb software update on Monday - is that a coincidence that it now running hotter and battery draining fast ?

Do I replace the battery or do I need to do more ?

10 seconds fully submerged and not even a full 3 days drying time give me a feeling that it's done for.

As above, I gave my old S2 7 days in the airing cupboard in a bowl of rice and it was fine, I suspect 3 days wasn't really enough.

+1. I spilt water all over my S2. Posted on OcUK about it, responses to my thread involved what you said. I think I gave it 2 days and it was as good as new. Obviously more time needed if the phone was submerged.
