Hello all,
I'm hopefully making the move from console to PC gaming. I'm looking for a gaming PC build around £1000 not including the peripherals which I will add on top (But if you can list good options for a keyboard,monitor/cables I would be grateful). I would also be building this myself, so I would need thermal paste etc.
I knew little about the world of computer parts until a few days ago, and I'm still somewhat confused over the amount of options and different models we can have.
I would like it to run:
-Current MMO's/MMORPG
-Battlefield 4
-Rome total war:2
-Possibly video editing software
-More future game releases
Having had a read on the forums already, somebody looking for a similar priced machine had a helpful post by 'Megahackerd', of which I have copied some of the build he listed here.
1 x MSI Geforce GTX 770 Gaming Edition 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
1 x Intel Core i5-4670K 3.40GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor l
1 x ASRock Z87M EXTREME4 Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard
*Z87 to use the newer range of processors over the Z77*
1 x SanDisk Extreme SSD 120GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive - (SDSSDX-120G-G25)
1 x Microsoft Windows 8 64-Bit DVD - OEM (WN7-00403)
1 x Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST2000DM001) HDD
1 x Thermalright HR-02 Macho CPU Cooler (Socket 775 / 1150 / 1155 / 1156 / 1366)
1 x Samsung SH-224DB/RSMS 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black/Silver/Biege) - Retail
I have removed prices as they may have changed since his post. I have not yet included the case, RAM and there is no PSU in this build. I would like to use the Corsair 600T which comes in pretty expensive at £150, but I may make wiggle room for this.
Current cost is around £950. If anybody could recommend the other needed parts or an entirely new build, please do so!
Thanks
