Businesswoman's £80k Bentley is wrecked at car wash

The other one by the fort is always full of luxury cars isn't it? You can even get your hair done and a spray tan whilst you wait. This is one reason why I always wait in the car they do it as I don't want some random driving my car even 5 foot. I always thought the Ferraris and Bentleys you see were owned by dodgy drug dealers though, although I wonder what it means when she is described as a 'businesswoman'. Marketing executive? Marketing the next legal high probably.

Surely anything remotely luxurious around Cheetham Hill is going to be dodgy? I used to live near the bottom in the new apartment blocks and anytime I went up Cheetham HIll I'd see something dodgy, always a prostitute or two knocking around!

I don't even trust these types of places with the mini, let alone something like a bentley.

You've only got to spend a pico second in one of these places before you see some clown directing a pressure washer on full chat into someone's radiator grill or slopping some filthy grit filled rag on to the bonnet.

Not for me Jeff I'm afraid.
Company car and Mondeo go through the car wash, our "car" car that we actually are bothered about, we do ourselves.

The one he's talking about looks a bit more upmarket (and it's outside Cheetham Hill too), but it still looks dodgy, but for other reasons: I've never seen so many pimp-mobiles gathered together in one place. Personally I use one in Harperhey (is this a step up or down from Cheetham Hill?), but there you move the car yourself. They do a good job as well.

I live opposite this place.

It’s the city centre end of Cheetham Hill Road (one of the main routes out to North Manchester), rather than in Cheetham Hill itself. However, having insured a car in the M4 postcode I know that car crime is pretty high here.

I came across this article last year after hearing complaints from a neighbour: http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/nort...-and-shine-cheetham-hill-road-manchester.html

The incident is now being treated as a civil matter between the car owner and carwash owner due to the many inconsistencies between the two accounts of what happened.”

So I wonder was he an employee and now they are claiming he isn't.
Would normal public liabilities cover a business for this, or would a car wash be meant to take out specific insurances?

A car wash owned by "mohammed" and you have to wonder if he has cash in hand illegal staff working for him?.... you have clearly not spent any time living in Manchester :p

you don't leave an 80k car with anyone surely, unless it's a proper valet i suppose. still, no common sense whatsoever.
