You should check out Mario Land regardless. Easily one of the best games on the system and more creative/imaginative than NSMB.

The Starfox remake is great fun - especially if you missed it first time around - and should be around for a cheap price. Luigi's Mansion 2 is excellent - essential! Fire Emblem too. Monster Hunter 3 is gaming crack if you're into that kind of thing. Code of Princess is very good if you want something old school - you can only get this at the store. Mario Kart is a no brainer. Plenty of choice :)

:D well the 3DS version was fun since it was portable, so I guess there's that.

Yeah can't wait for Xillia! Namco charged me for my Collector's Edition 3 weeks ahead of release, so that gave me quite a fright when I saw £79.99 disappear from my balance :/ Hoping it will join the ranks of my favourite Tales games (Phantasia, Symphonia, and Vesperia). You should definitely finish Vesperia!

Also OP - since Ghostlight have now fixed the issues with Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, that could be another one worth looking into if you're into Tactical/Strategy JRPGs (or a fan of SMT games in general).
 
Monster Hunter will last you a long time but it is much easier to control with the circle pad pro. Also get some friends to play it with you if you can, it becomes much more fun and easier.

I ordered a copy, not really played Pokemon before (too old) but thought I'd give the new one a try as they are supposed to be great rpg's.

The old ones are brilliant, one of my best ever handheld games! I just dont know which to pre-order, what did you go for?
