Red Bull intake...

If I am on a proper night-out then I will have probably 6-7 cans with vodka, however if they are serving Monster then I will go for that. I don't drink it at any other time, Monster, on the other hand, I drink because I actually really like the taste.

A pub in Kingston that I frequent actually has Red Bull on-tap and you can drink it by the pint :p

Let me guess, the King's Tun?

Wouldn't surprise me seeing some of the aggro that goes on outside there.

As for me I'm caffeine free, never had a tea or coffee habit and will avoid soft drinks containing it. Mainly as I'm operating just fine without it and don't want to need to rely on anything to function. I also can't stand not being able to sleep when I need to and can get up in the mornings with relative ease.

.

I don't drink energy drinks like red bull unless pulling all nighters because I have left myw ork to last minute, or sometime I will have it as a mixer on a night out, with vodka or what not

I drink the stuff sparingly and only when I'm really worn out from doing too many long shifts in a row. Can easily go weeks or more without having a single can though.

It tastes like liquid chemicals, and people have died after drinking it, due to the high caffeine deydrating you at a crazy rate, but the brain being tricked into thinking you're hydrated. That amount of caffeine shames an Espresso lol.

Caffeine content of standard 250ml can of Red Bull is 80mg.

A single espresso averages about the same, as does an average-sized mug of average instant coffee (caffeine content varies wildly between brands). Proper coffee usually contains quite a lot more caffeine than any of the above, in a standard-sized serving.

Red Bull tastes like how I imagine perfume would taste if I drank it. I'd add "very strongly scented" to "liquid chemicals". For normal Red Bull, "very strongly scented liquified sugared chemicals".

I find that Red Bull tastes like pre-med, the stuff they give you before the sleep injection for your operation. Therefore I don't like it (pre-med or Red Bull). What do the alternatives taste like?

I always wanted to be a hero with some sort of inevitable doom hanging over them. Like John Constantine with his emphyzema, or Tony Stark with his faulty Arc Reactor or Jean-Luc Picard with his defective heart.
[..]

Didn't John Constantine have lung cancer? I've only seen the film.

Different ones taste different. I've got some pineapple-flavoured ones, for example.

My favourite is Power Horse. For the name, not the taste :)

Bound to get some dissenting opinions but imo Monster Energy is the only one that doesn't taste like tepid sewer water. Sadly it comes with so much sugar I can feel my teeth rot by the sip.

Oh and to answer the question at hand, once every two weeks when I quick turnaround from a 13:00 -21:00 shift through to a 06:00 - 14:00 one, one can as I drive to work and then decent coffee until I'm able to have a power nap in the afternoon.

Just came back from the south of France and I was driving. I averaged approx 7 cans of red bull a day!

What's the actual medical evidence of the affects of these drinks? I don't mean scare mongering media or social pressure to hate them.....i mean actual verified evidence of there effect on people...id be interested to know

Thought this was an f1 topic initially :-P

I've never had a red bull
I've only had about 10 energy drinks in my life
