One of the reasons Bale has so much value added to his fee is because he is the face of football coverage in the USA which has to be a hugely undertapped market for most clubs. To be honest, given the way his brand is going, he is probably undervalued at £100m if he turns out to be the player that gets a club really recognised across the US.

interesting.

The express this morning is claiming that Utd's new chairman flew back from Aus because of Fabregas' agent stating his player WANTS a move to Utd. No quotes or anything (well it is the express after all lol) but the transfer has been complicated by the arrival of the new Barca manager.

People can go on and on about his stats for the last year or two , but at the end of the day if he doesn't feel like he is being utilized at Barca in the position he wants, he might not be as happy as appearances suggest (starting every match in an un-natural position for his favourite club to HIM may not be as favourable as starting every game in his favoured position elsewhere)

Woodward isnt the new chairman. disregard everything that follows.

A lot was said about Suarez lack of celebration on Wednesday but people ignore the way the goal came about. In the last few seconds of a meaningless friendly game (that we were already winning), Suarez made the near post burst in an attempt to create something. Lazy, I want out ineptitude?

Why respond, that guy is full of **** :D

Suarez was a right miserable ****, but like I already said if thats how he plays miserable I'll have him

Just to rile some United fans further:

"We hope we will do [sign new players], but what we've got is a good squad already. You can't forget about the quality that's already here," he told reporters in Hong Kong on Sunday.

"Undoubtedly we hope to add to it and I'm quite confident we'll do that... certainly before the window shuts."

On Fabregas, Moyes added: "I couldn't tell you if there will be another bid. Obviously we'll take stock and make a decision on what we do next."

EDIT: Sorry, I'll put the full quote for extra spack out :D.

Well at least he isn't spouting the 'the squad is strong' and 'having Player X and Player Y back from injury will be like new signings' yet.

We'll wait a couple of weeks and see if that happens :p

You mean:

;)

we'll 'crack' when you offer 55million, maybe.

Makes you laugh fab is only considered to be worth £35m in most peoples eyes on here. I'd rather have fab back than Suarez any day.

Can honestly see Arenal not getting anyone in again. It's running too late now.

I would be disappointed if we spent £55m on suarez. £55m for bitty, can't even play for 10 games...rather liverpool hung in there and kept him :p

I think he will stay at Liverpool and go for £30m next summer abroad. What's he on £7m a year? So either sell for £42.5m or lose nearly £20m on a player banned for first 10 games.

I would bite Arsenals hand off :D

On the Bale topic, this is becoming increasingly frustrating for us fans. Half of the reports out today are based I think on the latest Marca story and then the journalists interpretation of AVB's last press conference in Hong Kong.

I wish the club would make an official statement of sorts if they really do have no intention of selling him right now at least. And in the event they can't and with all this Real tapping up, i'd rather we sold him to united at a cut price fee just so we can give Real the finger.

Lets face it, anything over £50m for him and we're making money. So I'd rather accept £50m from United than £60m from Real.

exactly. no players stock is higher. he was on the billboard in times square for a week. his profile is massive. he would sell stacks of shirts and i can easily understand why levy would command £100m. he was 24 this month and isn't a 'one season wonder' as so many people believe. his potential is incredible.

What logic are you using to come to the conclusion he will only be worth £30m next year?

lots of talk that soldado could be announced as a spurs player today

fingers crossed

I bet we sign Soldado and sell Bale. It would be fairly heartbreaking to see improvement in some areas and then to sell Bale. This would presumably open up Suarez to Arsenal and Spurs would then be pretty much guaranteed 5th or below.

Supporting Spurs can be so cruel.

It's just my opinion.

If he isn't released I think he will still play normally to a degree but with less games to shine in I don't think he will score as many hence why I think value will decrease. Plus I think he would go cheaper abroad with people knowing he wants out.

If Bale is £100 million I'm worth at least £50million and I haven't played football for years.

are you. why's that then?

i'm thinking we should sell him whilst his stock is highest, even without him if we bag soldado i think we're top 4 material, we've lost berba, modric in the past and people said it was curtains for us and it wasn't so.

bale would actually be doing spurs a massive show of respect if the fee we get for him funds the majority of the new stadium.

Supposedly on his way for a medical today.. fingers crossed

In other news apparently levy has told RM they can have Bale. For £150m. Cash.

That's the most polite way of telling someone to **** of I've ever seen.

Before anyone jumps down my throat going on about how he's not worth that, of course he's not but we don't want to sell, don't need the money, he doesn't particularly want to get (yet - despite the rubbish in the papers today that are just regurgitating the Marca stories) but if they want to pay for half our new stadium up front by all means :-)
