We aren't even giving them something to think about with our pitiful joke of a bid. Offer up £50m and then see what happens.

If anyone at Man Utd genuinely thought we could sign a player like Fabregas for £30m, then they need their heads testing.

To be blunt, I can't see anybody convincing Fabregas to leave Barca, that would be moyes's problem.

I'm only concern that if a deal is to had, then it's not too late. £80M+ is a lot of cash to sit on during the close window. We've had the same thing the last 3 or 4 seasons. It's unsettling for the rest of the team. I'd be annoyed at Levy if he changed his mind 2 games into the new season. Now's the time.

we have cash to spend. we had £50m excluding the £17m we spent on paulinho. profit from bale should be sunk into the new stadium. call the north stand the 'bale' stand.

i believe we have a strong team even without bale, especially if we bag soldado and i'd like holtby given the playmaker role. bale isn't really a playmaker, he's just ...... bale.

bernard or lamela would be nice additions if he went.

still nothing confirmed on soldado but if yesterdays rumour from some camp that he is on a 13:00 flight today to london then something may come of it later on.

on this day in 1994. spurs signed klinsmann from monaco. must be a good sign :D

I hope so but doubt it's true. It's been reported that Levy's been on holiday and only returning today to sort the Bale situation.

I don't know what it is about Daniel Levy, but everything I see about him in the press, he always comes across as a spoiled brat

I don't think Bale to RM is a good move for himself but for Spurs the money and maybe players involved in the deal would be great for themselves.

It's just that all the Spurs fans talk him up as some kind of magical negotiator.

this isn't true. he is a good negotiator but he plays brinksmanship too often and this riles spurs fans or atleast he has done in the past. i can't knock him this window. paulinho was done rapidly, chadli caught a lot of people by surprise and he's stumped up the clause fee for soldado, the sticking point is the installments.

he's doing the right thing with bale and is making rm look desperate.

levy always tries to balance the books as opposed to the city or chelsea approach and i respect him and lewis for this.

I don't see other teams (Man City/Chelsea) celebrate qualification like a trophy (we'll they have actually qualified, Arsenal still haven't).

Thats because they are quite a way ahead of Arsenal and certainly liverpool squad wise and expectations wise. City, United and Chelsea would be expected to take the top 3 spots. Getting the last CL spot over your rivals is something to celebrate. You are the archetypal Liverpool fan who thinks their club is still the nuts and hate it when anyone suggests another club is bigger / better.

Personally I would rather celebrate being in the CL if I was an Arsenal fan than nothing. If Liverpool get 4th next year I would be amazed if you don't all go nuts.
