Now live in Scotland !
Ive just had my new replacement Alienware delivered today and havent taken it out the box as i want to get a new monitor first.

Im currently using my 55" sony LED at the minute (in living room).

now im into gaming but not true hardcore as im also console gamer , but when i eventually move in with the missis at end of the year im going to need my own space lol .

at the minute the girlfriend is staying with me through the school holidays with her little girl and as im in a 1 bedroom flat i do need my space now, so monitor is for now .

now i do have a budget my budget is £250-£400

I was thinking of going for 27" 120HZ monitor and then 1440p , but now im thinking of Dell U2412M anf then later on get another U2412M and then get the stand MDS14 .

Ive never had a 1440p monitor before or a 120Hz monitor but now i have a GTX690 in my replacement computer i want too make the most of the card.

the only thing that puts me off 2 or 3 monitors is the gap in the middle of the screens , im thinking that could irritate me a little .

I also like the look of the AOC I2757FM for £225 and then get another later on as i like the thin bezel .

so iv had this headache for a few weeks now ,

27+ screens

1/ Dell UltraSharp U2713HM cant affored right now
2/ Dell UltraSharp U2913WM cant affored right now
3/Asus VG278HE 27" TRUE 144Hz (1080p on a 27 screem ? mmmmmm)
4/Asus SonicMaster MX279H (another 1080p but would get another later on.
5/27" Viewsonic VX2770SMH-LED Pro IPS £191 again will get 2 eventually .
6/AOC Q2963PM 21:9, 2560 x 1080, 6ms, UWHD (i like this one)
7/AOC I2757FM amazing reviews and would look good with a 2 screen set up .

or do i just get 2 x Dell Ultrasharp U2412M reviews are amazing for this monitor .

such a head ache lol

My missis just heard me laughing my head off at this and came in living room to see what i was laughing about and then seen this post too , ha ha shes laughing at it too , made my day that mate .!!!

On the monitor front Im now swaying between the 2 Dell UltraSharps , U2713HM , And Dell UltraSharp U2913WM, liking the 29 wide screen but is it worth it over the 2650x1140p dell ?

both around the same price .

will buy end mid august !

Its good to have a getaway space , we are both gamers she has never pc gamed before until yesterday and couldnt get her off borderlands 2 (shes loving the high frame rate as she quoted as saying ,wow john this feels so smooth playing on pc ,i said yea it would be with 160-200fps lol , 5 hours straight she was on it lol .and on a 55' sony Led TV.(in game mode)

I cant game that much on it as i can see the notice input lag , not bad but enough to want a Monitor !

so we could both use the space on the pc , she also likes the look of the 29In dell too . she will be happy with either a PS4 or Xbox one come end of the year !

The U2913WM:
Pros:
-superior calibrated contrast ratio 1000:1
-superior panel uniformity
Cons:
21:9 widescreen only good for watching movies

The 2713HM:
Pros:
-2560x1400 best affordable resolution
-very good calibrated contrast ratio 870:1
Cons:
-typical 27" IPS panel uniformity

I just bought the ASUS MX239. I've very very impressed with it and they do a 27 or 29 inch version, or both. Can't remember. They have a super thin bezel but, and the reviews don't cover this, the pictures doesn't go to the edge. There is less then half an inch black dead space around the picture. It is noticeable unfortunately.

I am now on the verge of getting the Acer S275HLbmii S5 Zero Frame Series Monitor.

For £205 and a 3 year carry in warranty is not bad for a screen that looks fantastic it has great user reviews , my plan with this is to buy 2 of these monitors and join them together . they do look nice with the zero frame bezal and being IPS screens only having 6ms response time.

cant show the link as its not on overclockers , but if overclockers stocked it i would buy it from overclockers .

Keep using the 50"

If you can't buy a other 40" TV instead.

its 55in and thats to hard when missis is on 360 or ps3 or the 3 year old watching her jake and the neverland pirates or dora the exploror lol

the 55in is too big for pc anyway as i cant see what im typing due to being 10ft away from it .

i got to buy a monitor as i got a nice desk and chair doing nothing in bedroom .
