Well, the saga of the broken vamo continues - turns out the percussive maintenance did nothing, but my vamo seems to be firing okay with the battery is 4.2v or over in charge, soon as it dips below it starts misfiring.

Looks like I'll have to get the pipe grips out tomorrow!

Nice one Devrij, i take it u are going to make some vanilla custard?
If so can u grab a bottle of Perfumers Apprentice French Vanilla Deluxe? as it makes a big difference.

It kind of sounds like the PCB is damaged and it is just outputting like a mech mod imo I'm hardly an expert but I remember reading about this happening to a vamo before. It would just put out whatever the battery was at.

Bugger. Thanks for that, must admit it sounds about right. Oh well, guess I no longer need an excuse to get a stainless steel body

Held back on buying new kit haven't had time to do some good research but I would like to get into recoiling heads myself.

Quick question also are the liquids from Fast Tech reputable? OR do people stay away from buying liquid from there.

No problem with Hangsen & Liqua from slowtech. Tiramisu was very overpowering though!

With fasttech if they say a brand name it is what it says it is. They sell copies too but never use the full brand name. Like the protank they sell if it has Kanger in the name is real no Kanger and it is a copy. I've never tried most of the brands they sell of liquid so couldn't say if they were real but many people who have report they come in the same bottles and taste the same. I'm willing to bet they are the real deal.

Okay, pipe grips out... ****** head will not come off no matter how bloody hard I push or pull.

New body it is... least I can reuse the batteries and charger. Has anyone had any problems with vamo bodies from slowtech?

After letting my Vamo and Protank roll off the table at work and on to the hard floor (facepalm), the Protank snapped off my Vamo at the stem - I had to go in with a pair of pliers to twist the Protank's thread off. Of course, it's now completely unusable until I can find somewhere to buy a replacement coil base. Have bought a replacement tank in the meantime, but that's only half the problem.

Alright dudes
I went from 20Marlboro reds a day to vaping on a saturday morning when the eGo CE4 arrived.

After a week the clearo started to give me a bad burnt taste and my throat felt like it was getting ripped to shreds... bad times
I popped to my local vape shop, Rojean's, and got some upgrades and tried a load of different juices.

900mAh eGo VV and a Kanger Protank.
Sticking with 100% VG juice.

Today I ordered the Protank-2 which should arrive in a couple of days

Just wanted to share

Congrats on staying off the stinkies - I assume you don't miss what was a pretty heavy habit (I couldn't manage 1 Marlboro "Lung-Bleeder", let alone 20!)...

My first broken Vamo was from UK, and my current one is vapourbreak, but I think dropping any of them enough times is gonna do the job. You could always try the SVD this time (I must admit I was tempted). Same price from fasttech and seems to be the legit version.

The only thing I would double check, purely because someone at work thought he'd read something about it, is the fact that the SVD doesn't use PWM, so in theory can use more battery (although should have more consistent voltage if I'm correct). I've never heard anyone complain about battery life in the SVD, but I would double check just in case.

Just make sure u adjust the numbers in the Calculator for the amounts u want to make and if your base Nic is stronger or weaker etc...
There are quite a few How to guides on google that explain how to use the Calculator.
And VC will take a minimum of 3 weeks imo before it becomes lovely, mine is now 5 weeks old and to me its getting nicer each week.

Shouldn't be too much of an issue, I vape on low voltage and low resistance and have 2 x 18650s and a an eGo-T as backup
