You'll find it horrendously hard coming from Keyb + mouse

Played any FPS games on console before ?

Theres no reason to play on consoles if you've already got a PC that is capable of playing it.

a big reason for me was that i could max out on my couch feet up playing
 
You can with a xim edge adapter but then again what's the point in getting a console if you want to use kb and m?
 
the new console will likely break the XIM compatibility

It will be a good 6 months before they crack it again I reckon. They may not even manage at all, they still haven't managed to crack the latest apple TV for example. The number of exploits just ran out as apple constantly learned from previous loopholes.

So don't bank on being able to play any console games on XB1 using Keyb + Mouse.

Yes you can veg out on the couch, but it takes years of practice to actually get good at the controller if you're used to a keyb + mouse. Have a go on BF3 on the current gen at a mates house or something to see what I'm on about.
 
Its practice and years is a bit over the top usless your talking pro gamer good.

I hadnt played PC games for a long time and going back to M&K was a struggle that really suprised me considering i used to be pretty good on PC.

Now as a part time Xbox gamer it takes me a hour or so to get back used to a pad.

I'm getting an Xbox one copy and I'm going to Pre-order the PC version tomorrow when i get paid.

Im interested in how i can play with my wife as commander on the iPad and what the server policys will be like on consoles, I had to buy my wife a server so she had some protection from the random abuse she'd get on xbox and people kicking her right before the end of matches losing her her XP and telling her to get back to the kitchen etc.

EAs own servers were fine till every child with pocket money to spare got there own and became an admin, the public servers are now pretty much hidden and they need to make them filterable this time round.
 
I played in clans/leagues/ladders for years on PC using m+kb in FPS games to a fairly decent standard. Been using consoles exlusively for about 4-5 years (I still dabble on PC for RTSs etc but very rarely). I went on Steam recently to have a bash and oh my lord I can't even move properly now using m+kb!
 
Is anyone considering getting this for ps3 or Xbox 360 prior to picking up a next gen console next year? Wondering if there will be anyone online post Xmas on the current gen
 
This will be crippled on the current gen consoles. The player limit and the smaller maps will be the biggest differences due to the limited ram.
 
I really hope they implement Keyboard and mouse support on the PS4, it would probably take them less than five minutes to do.
 
Dynamic factions have been confirmed, so you could be any faction against any other on any map, either pre set by server admins, or by Dice servers.

Also found out, pre ordering from origin, they take money straight away :rolleyes: not that its a problem, but would have preferred to wait.
