i bought a msi 580 lightning xtreme 3GB off MM and im waiting for neccessary info for a RMA with OCUK.

what do you think will happen if they cant fix it?? seeing as though the GPU is no longer in stock or production.

Should be a 3 year warranty.

In all likelihood MSI will send you an equivalent performance or better card, so you'll likely end up with something like a 660TI or 760.

You can get 3Gb 660Ti cards.

But wont MSI be likely to RMA to the address on the receipt if you have it? You may need the original owner to RMA on your behalf.

Any partial refund is likely to be peanuts based on the age of the card.

If its one of these cards then you should be ok if its a 3 year warranty, if its only 2 years its just run out in june :(

Haha absolutely not.

You could ask if you pay x amount towards a 7970 they might.

Unfortunately replacement cards are replaced like for like in performance not like for like in the original retail value of the card.
