Been a member since early '99. Lost my account details and also my Freeserve email, so was unable to retrieve my login details, so I created this new account.

Dimple was the first person in the shop.

He knew the owners.

probably 99/2000 when I got my KT7A mobo that was supposed to support the incoming Palomino core, but did not properly:/ So I had a Duron 750@999Mhz and then a Thunderbird 1.4Ghz!

The POWER!

Pre-wipe..around 99 I think.

I bought some components that were all incompatible (didn't do any research before buying hehe) and joined to get help. Been my home page ever since

Remember Mindyerbeak, Cemetery, Jaana, Piggy etc. Fox was a boy then I believe and got the pee taken out of him a fair bit :D

First 1000 club here :p

* bumps fist with fellow old timer.

I've no idea of the exact date I joined here, other than that it was when I was at university.
I graduated over 12 years ago now, so it was a fair while back.
Suspect it was sometime in 1999 or 2000 though.

I do remember that my first post was crapping in a for sale thread before I knew proper etiquette though :o

98/99? Back when processors came on pcb's installed in slots and you could buy modified ones to overclock. First order was for a case and a few other bits. The other bits may be gone, but the case lives on (and will do for the foreseeable future).

The Thunderbird 1400 was pure ownage!! Got myself one of these in late 2001 and it benched much higher than the Intel's equivalent which was the Pentium 4 1500. I think it was the last AMD processor to be true speed MHz/GHz before they re-branded their CPUs to "XP" speed. Had the same mobo too - ABit KT7A RAID.

Signed up after I wanted to ask a few questions, then forgot about the account until a few years later when I came back to ask more questions :o

Dunno let's look, October 2002.... as here well before the wipe though, good ol' CS 1.6 OcUK team days
