David De Gea has confessed he would like to see Cesc Fabregas end up at Old Trafford. With reports claiming the third, and possibly final bid in the pipeline, will be a record figure from United, surpassing the fee paid for Dimitar Berbatov, the keeper said in Marca: "Fabregas has to make a decision to stay or come to us. He would be a great signing, and would help us to improve." De Gea also admitted he did attempt to persuade Thiago Alcantara to come to Manchester. "Yes, I tried to convince him but it could not be," he said. "He would have been a good signing. He decided for Bayern Munich, who are a very good club, and I'm sure he'll do very well."
Try harder David.
Messi is supposed to be on about €16m / year which after tax won't be much more than €10m. Thats about €300k / week. Talking about paying someone double that is madness. There is simply no way that he is worth that much on his own.
One funny thing that is going around is that should spurs sell bale they will go after Suarez.
No offence to spurs but if arsenal can't get him with cl, then spurs have very little to offer.
Tottenham Hotspur have turned to their technical director Franco Baldini to help convince AS Roma forward Erik Lamela to move to White Hart Lane, reports in Italy suggest.

The future of Gareth Bale has been under constant scrutiny this week amid mounting reports that Real Madrid have launched a record breaking transfer bid of £85m for the Wales international.
With a number of sources speculating that the 24-year-old is on board with a move to the Bernabeu, Tottenham could be left with a huge creative and goal scoring void to be filled in their starting XI just three weeks away from the new Premier League season.
But according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the club have identified Argentine international Lamela as someone who can help fill the gap and will test Roma's resolve with a bid of €35m should Bale complete a move to the La Liga giants.
Although Roma themselves are in the process of rebuilding their side after a disappointing sixth place finish in Serie A last season, Gazzetta understands that Tottenham will dispatch Baldini to feel out the possibility of bringing the 21-year-old to north London.
The 52-year-old Italian has served as director of football at the Giallorossi on two separate occasions, his most recent being a spell from 2011 before he was snapped up by Spurs earlier this year.
In the early stages of his role in Rome, Baldini oversaw the club's purchase of Lamela from River Plate for a reported fee of €12m, and Tottenham are hopeful the former England assistant's influence over the youngster's initial move to Europe could have a hand in a prospective move to the Premier League.
After struggling in his debut campaign in Italy, Lamela was one of Roma's stand out performers in a disappointing season that culminated in a Coppa Italia defeat to bitter rivals Lazio.
His 15 goals and five assists in a front three alongside Pablo Osvaldo and Francesco Totti suggest he is likely to have a key role in Roma's plans in the new season, leaving Tottenham with a difficult job of prising the forward away from the Italian capital.

I also read that he wont be fighting this so called clause thats in his contract as it seems to be pretty water tight from what i read.
If he really wanted to move to you lot he would take it to court
He had a better season than Bale so whatever he goes for Suarez shouldn't go for a penny less. In reality however...
Can't believe Spurs have sold Caulker, looks like a great young English CB and I bet long term Spurs will regret losing him.
Usually agree with you Mr.Pigeon but all things considered Suarez had a better season than Bale? Really?
Scored more goals and got more assists. If he was English and not damaged in the head he would've been player of the season imo. As it was he ****ed up his chance when he auditioned for a part in the Walking DeadUsually agree with you Mr.Pigeon but all things considered Suarez had a better season than Bale? Really?
