Christ, United really did get RvP for a snip last year. Soldado looks handy but he is costing more than RvP at the same age.
I guess prices really are shooting up year on year.
RVP was in last year of contract but there is a kick in the teeth for levy; we were offered soldado for £10m in january. so, we could've got him for a lot less and probably got cl football too :/ atleast i feel he is learning his lesson.
i've just read about the £104.5m deal for bale too. hmm.

Now then. Where does Lennon, Holtby, Sig, Townsend, Defoe, Dempsey, Ade fit in?
We need a lefty really. If Bale goes for me its Lamela from Roma with the Baldini link.
Suddenly the squad looks epic. But god I want Bale to stay.
Chadli is a left winger...
A big problem for spurs from last season remains. We have no creativity and now without Bale we have very little flair.
The point about 4 players needing to learn each other's game is huge. To me, that lineup screams of players having to work as a unit rather than relying on individual brilliance. Like the national team, we haven't played as a unit for years.
We can counter attack and score wonder goals, but we don't cut teams apart.
Really? didnt know that. haha.
Hmm not convinced by that £104.5m deal - Dont think Di maria fancies the move, not sure about Coentrao though. Still, the team is shaping up nicely and if Bale does move hopefully we can get someone like Lamela in to provide a bit of attacking flair as well as assists - I thought as a team we didnt play that well at times last year and were too reliant on GB being a matchwinner.
With a bit more balance in the team and finally a striker that can and will put them away (note, all of his goals last season were from inside the box) hopefully we can push on again![]()
4 new attacking players, none of them having played in the Premiership before, are going to take a while to settle as well as get used to playing with each other.
How do you think he would be a better fit, in footballing terms for Arsenal? Not the baggage, I'm curious what attributes of Higuains game would be a better fit than Suarez
As for not fighting the contract, why doesn't he do what most others do that actually want away and hand in an official transfer request?
Who exactly is crap and over-rated at Arsenal?
