Yeah I was thinking the same. This could either work out amazing for spurs or put them back a year.

But at least you will have a war chest to spend in January just like Arsenal :D

Hopefully it will put them a year back:p...its a bit concerning that Spurs are strengthening whilst we are not..

I don't think Chesney or Walcott are highly rated by many on here. They are also not crap. Calling Wilshere crap is retarded.

Szczęsny
Wallcott
Wilshire

To name three. Without Wenger they would be nowhere near as good imo.

LOL as soon as you mentioned Wilshere, your point was nullified lol.

Wilshere is hardly crap, perhaps a tad bit overrated but then hes been injured for most of last season. If he can get back to proper full fitness this year then we can judge the lad better.

I think thats pretty much spot on. Wilshere is a beast in midfield when he is fit. Perhaps that is Moyes plan, nick Wilshere at the end of the window to solve our midfield problems

I still stand by what i said, id rather us have gotten Higuain than waste our time on Suarez. At least with Higuain, we wouldnt have the baggage that Suarez carries ie diving, biting etc etc. Maybe Higuain isnt as 'good' as Suarez is but out of the both, i feel Higuain would have been a better fit for us.

Thats not to say Suarez isnt a top class player as he is but id rather us not have to deal with the crap that comes with him.

But its all moot anyways talking about Suarez, its pretty clear he wont be sold to us or another PL club and this supposed clause is pretty tight...Suarez wont be fighting it which says it all.

But you haven't got Higuain, he's a Napoli player now. Maybe he would have been a better fit, it'll depend on how Suarez (hypothetically) links up with Cazorla.

It does seem that he won't be sold, at least not for his contract clause, but who knows what's happening behind the scenes, they could reach some sort of agreement.

Let the club worry about the money (they are quite happy to shaft their fans on ticket prices), and take what you can get! :p

Basically Higuain is a crap and overrated player, which is exactly what Arsenal's team is full of, therefore he would be a much better fit than someone who is world class

As a striker he's rather good, actually.

Too easy! Can I have my arm back? ;)

The point i was making is if we are bidding £40mill for Suarez then we could have easily got Higuain at £32mill or whatever he was sold at to Napoli. But meh whats done is done, if Wenger can pull off Suarez and get him at Arsenal before the transfer window ends then great. But honestly i cant see it happening, Liverpool have made it pretty clear they are not interested in selling him to us and Suarez himself has gone pretty quiet now as well. He hasnt handed in a transfer request yet and i dont think he will.

As for taking what we can get?? at the moment the only thing Wenger has got is a young injury prone french kid for free...which is a typical Wenger transfer deal:p, he thinks we can get genuine world class players at rock bottom prices. The market has already shown that world class players are not being sold cheaply and if we want these world class players at Arsenal, then Wenger needs to change his MO otherwise we wont be winning any trophies anytime soon.

I still can't believe Real are going to pay £80m+ for a player who isn't even 1/5 of Ronaldo.

Ronaldo in the 07-08 season for MUFC scored 42 goals, won the Ballon d'Or, Champions League and Premier League. He was also the same age as Gareth Bale. The season after he scored 26, which is the same as Bales best (albeit with more apps).

I'm not saying Bale isn't good, he is definitely good. But worth more than Ronaldo and top 5 in the world? No chance. Levy must be laughing all the way to the bank.

As has been said before, Ronaldo was sold in a different era, if he'd have been sold this window to Real, he'd have gone for upwards of £100 million easily

It's almost as if people forget how quickly things /the market can change in 5 or so years - It was only 10 or so years before that when Shearer went for a world-record 15 million was it not?
