Is David Prutton likely to play much this season?....looking for a cheap midfielder in my FF team;)

I'm not sure. He played more frequently towards the end of last season but I wouldn't have thought he was anything more than a rotation / back up option.

He did play quite well actually towards the end of last season, showed his experience and used it very well at times.

I wonder what kind of 'fee' his agent would get if this ridiculous deal was to go through??
Talk about riding someone else's success!!

Wenger doing his usual bit, committing himself to the likes of Ramsey while going after someone we shouldn't be. We were heavily linked with Bony over the past 6 months, and I'd MUCH prefer to give someone like Bony a try at a relatively low cost with a fantastic scoring record, only 24, and cheap and genuinely looks quite damn good. 12mil, good price for a player who actually looks really good when I've seen him(unlike Gervinho), looks solid and powerful while the likes of Gervinho looks like a big girl.

40+ mil and we're still after Suarez when we could have had Higuain for 10mil less, Bony for 30mil less, or Soldado somewhere between them.

This is all ignoring the fact that striker wasn't the weakest position last season, with both our "wide" players wanting to play more centrally and no genuine wide players(that Wenger will actually give a chance to, nor old enough to rely on) a priority for me would be wide players and fullbacks. With a keeper and Wilshire/Arteta back up being fairly important as well. Apparently with the chase for a main striker Wenger has forgotten the rest of the team.

Call it 105mil and assume that includes to players they bought for 30mil and its 50mil cash upfront. They've paid for those players and will spend anything from 40-60mil on wages for those two players in the next 3-4 seasons. So a creative accountant would sell that as saving 40-60mil by getting two players who won't really be used off the book. Likewise they know their value isn't actually that high, one of them because he's just crap, the other because he's not wanted (but much closer to full value than the other). They can suggest that it would take 100mil cash to get Bale, or 50mil + two players, who in the real world are only worth 30-40mil between them, suddenly they've effectively saved 15mil on the total value of the deal by(much like Spurs have on Bales) exagerating what the players are worth.

then a year later, the ''creative accountant'' gets the boot for not taking bales wages into account.

spurs also break even on wages by not having to pay bale £170k p/w.

Luis Suarez to consider transfer request in Liverpool dispute

Luis Suarez will consider submitting a formal transfer request and the possibility of court action if his Liverpool dispute is not resolved, say sources close to the player.

The 26-year-old believes Arsenal's bid of just over £40m triggered a clause in his contract that allows him to leave.

Liverpool rejected the offer and insist the clause does not force them to sell.

I think this one could get ugly.

i was going to ask if any liverpool fans had heard of the rumour that tottenham are lining up a bid for suarez if/when bale goes? loads of talk on it today.

I'm in big danger of annoying my fellow Arsenal fans here, but part of me is kind of agreeing with other players about Suarez.

What exactly is drawing him so strongly to Arsenal? The money can't be vastly better, if at all (not Arsenal's style), and champions league football is not yet guaranteed. There's not much else that I can see that is so appealing.

I don't think that's very likely at all, considering Spurs aren't in the CL.

there's one chap who broke the soldado rumour before anyone else who is saying it's not only going to happen but it may have already happened.

other rumour saying baldini is in talks with roma over a 50m euro deal for pjanic and lamela but they want 60m euro.

While Liverpool are confident that from a legal perspective their position stands up to scrutiny - and Suarez reluctantly agrees

Ignoring the fact that it would be highly unlikely that a legal hearing would take place before the transfer window is closed, it would seem pretty pointless if Suarez accepts that the clause is (legally) as Liverpool state?

Anyway, he's not even handed in a transfer request yet let alone gone on strike (as people seemed pretty sure he would) or taken legal action. I'll believe it when it happens.

They might be prepared to offer him a considerable pay increase, and CL football is close to being guaranteed really. I'd be surprised if Arsenal managed to mess it up.

Who? I seriously doubt that. It wouldn't make any sense.

Even though the club are sure they're in the right regarding the clause I have absolutely no faith in the lawyers we employ after the last few **** ups. They just seem to be paid to bend over take it

He's ****ing me off now Suarez is, I dread to think what Liverpool fans think, you lot are far too rational in here.
