Are these specs any good?

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Will this system be mainly for gaming, if so what sort of games and res will you be playing at?
Do you have any components you can reuse from an existing PC?
Lastly, what is your max budget?

Thanks for replying.

My idea was to get a gaming pc instead of next gen console? I play RPG's mostly like Skyrim, witcher, mass effect, dragons dogma, dragon age. Any RPG lol!

Also wife would use it for work so basically Microsoft office and browsing Internet. Connection is good where I am so hopefully it would allow me to watch movies etc.

I got quoted £800 for that pc that includes cheap keyboard and mouse and £78 21.5" monitor. And build fee included.

I don't have any components. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

The faster ram was in my first spec :) changed it in the 2nd to go under £800.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but what makes you say the Xigmatek case is better please?

Thanks again for replies. So basically for what I have been quoted I can get a lot better systems?

Do they come built? Because I haven't got a clue.

Is it a viable idea to get a gaming pc instead of a next gen console? Pros and cons please?

Thanks again for all the help.

What you have been quoted for a pre-built system seems good to be honest.

But if you self-build, you will get more "bang for buck".

Your call really, but it is easy to self-build, much like playing with Lego! :D

Watch a youtube guide for some idea, but if you can build a Lego set, you can probably build a PC ;)

Install all the parts - install OS - Done.

What's people's opinions on a gaming pc rather than next gen console? I have always had a console so unsure what to do. You can upgrade a pc? Graphics better? And I like RPGs and there are more available on pc?

All depends on you really, I'd rather a gaming PC, but that's a personal opinion.

There are quite a lot of MMORPG's on a PC, some RPG's but not all that many.
