Driving Jobs with 9 points

I got a permanent job offer from Tuffnells within a week of getting my class 2, on their 18 tonners doing bulk drops and collections.

Its no great shakes getting work, even the co op or allied bakeries will take you on with nothing more than a quick driving assessment.

With 9 points? - the point of this thread - I doubt that would be the case if you had 9 points tbh.

It depends on your location completely and how badly they are in dire need of drivers. However you don't have 9 points on your license and therefore it would be easier for you. However grats on getting a perm job offer without agency

If he doesn't already have a heavy licence then It's a certainty the area commisioner wont even award him a provisional HGV.

My mate wanted to start driving heavies and he got a rollocking just for having ONE speeding conviction from the Eastern Area Commissioner.

I'm going to be a very careful driver when I get my license, and then get my medical done as soon as I can to get my provisional.

Because doing 44 in a 40 wouldn't be an issue......

You'd be surprised mate - I know of a few workmates who've picked up 3points for exceeding 40 on a single carriageway.

The A556 between the M6 and the M56 being a particular one to get caught on.
