Hi guys,
My motherboard is Asus P67 SaberTooth and I have I7 2600 and I am looking to upgrade my RAM.
I found 16GB modules but the MB doesn't want to boot.
My question is there a way to fix that so that the MB can recognize the modules and do you know any motherboards that support 16GB RAM modules per slot?

Thank you

Regards

Thank you for the quick reply. I am looking to put 32GB of RAM and because I found a very good deal for 2 x 16GB modules decided to try and see but it looks like my motherboard is a bit old for that and can support up to 32GB but needs to be of modules of 8GB per slot and not more.
It looks like I will have to upgrade.

The only reason I ask is because I did not think there were any 16GB desktop modules, you need to check and make sure that's not server ram i.e ECC Registered etc as it will not work in a desktop system.

I think the only remotely cost effective route to 64gb of ram is to change to socket 2011. That has the advantage that you'll access the ram at about twice the rate that you would on P67.

If you wanted more than 64gb, it's server's and ecc time. I think the limits there are around 256gb per cpu, though that might have reached 512gb by now.

Thank you guys ;)
I will look in to this in the future. I realized that that my RAM is enough at the moment.
There was a moment a year ago where here on Overclockers website you could by 16GB (2 x 8GB) for like 50£ which was a steal now the memory is alsmot twice as much.
