Need a new phone, got 2 choices in mind.

So I travel A LOT on trains and coaches and it can get really boring.

I've been shopping around and have decided on 2 choice to upgrade my phone.

I enjoy reading and watching stuff on my current phone. With the occasional gaming. I have a portable usb charger, so battery life isn't a problem.

I want the Google Nexus 4 OR the Samsung Galaxy mega.
Both have their ups and downs. Spec wise I know the nexus 4 destroys the Mega. But it only has 8gb internal memory, which is the catch for the phone, and the smaller screen. I put a lot of music and tv shows to watch on my phone, so not sure if 8gb is enough for all that and more.

The mega is kinda of winning. With external memory and a lovely large screen, perfect for watching videos. But its specs and form factor bother me. Is it to big? Will the specs and screen quality ruin the experience of gaming and terrible video quality?

Tl;Dr, Can't decide on the Mega if its worth getting? Anyone have/used it?
I know the Nexus is perfect to. Help?

whats your budget? Note 2 sounds like a good option

quite cheap too for what it is..

Budget is generally <£30 on contract with unlimited internet.
Found both of them on a more than good contract.

sounds perfect for your use.

expandable memory, just as powerful as n4, epic battery life, big screen, mind you note 3 should be out soon, but again i don't think you'll find it on a respectable contract for 30 or less when its out.

I agree with Grudas - Note 2 is the best big phone until the Note 3.

Mega 6.3 is overpriced for what it is, The only plus is if you want the bigger screen.

If you can wait another 4-6weeks and spend a little more then the Note 3 WILL BE EPIC.

Gotta agree with you guys. Looking at the note 2, it looks sweet. I wish I could wait for the note 3. But I'm going on a long trip soon and I'm desperate for a new phone for it.

Found a nice deal for £26 2 year contract on the note with unlimited internet.

Should I bite the bullet?

currently its the best big phone around.

Another thing to bear in mind is that you can buy a USB OTG cable which lets you plug a USB memory stick into the phone. Would be handy for the N4
