Best gaming pc if no budget

If we spec it would you actually build it? We see these kind of threads all the time and found out there is no real "best gaming PC if money is no object".

Possibly, I am trying to figure out whether to buy next gen console or get a gaming pc. I really don't know what to do, and I am asking for people opinions on pros and cons of both. As I am a newbie when it comes to gaming pc only had consoles. I posted some specs on another thread I had been quoted for £800 but I'm trying to work out what would be better etc. As I understand it you can continually upgrade a pc? Games are cheaper? Graphics better. Place computer in loving room to replace console? Any advice, ideas would be welcome. Thanks

Pc's will allways over run consoles. You can upgrade it, game better, better graphics, play music, watch movies, ext ext, the things you can do compared to s console is endless.

It all depends on what you intend todo.

Well here's a quick breakdown for you:

Console - around £400.

Top spec gaming PC - as much as you want to spend, something like the £4,000 mark would build an absolute monster but think at least £1,500 for a high end machine.

The comparison is a hard one.

High end PCs are WAY more powerful, and also much more expensive. They are also much more general purpose, with games worse optimised for them. Their power is sufficient that in most cases they still can be ahead. That said... not all games on PC exist on every console. Not every game on a given console exists on the PC. As a result they're not really direct rivals.

An £800 PC should be capable in matching a console performance wise, with extra money still adding significant performance up to £1300 quid or so after which the gains tail off. With no specific games more than that is very hard to say :(
