My old Creatives have finally shook a seven so I'm in the market for some new PC speakers. The R1600T's have caught my eye and seem to have pretty good reviews around here. They're on this week only too saving £25 so I'm glad I didn't get around to ordering them yesterday!

Anyway, just a simple question - do they come with a jack plug > RCA cable in the box so I can hook them up straight away?

Great, thanks.

Saves me having to run around and find one at the last minute :)

EDIT: Should have checked the description! It says it's included :D

Dunno if OcUK are including the adaptor now and/or they have UK plugs but mine had a euro power plug and no adaptor (fortunatly I had an adaptor spare anyhow).

Mine came with a UK plug

If there's no psu on the plug, just chop it off and wire in a UK one.

Ordered :) Just need to rearrange my desk to make space for them now!

Do you reckon they'd be ok sat on an OCUK 3XL mega mat? Might offer a tad of decoupling I guess.

Arrived half an hour ago and already I'm impressed. Proper little pocket rockets for the money :D

Sure they're never going to compare with my cars system which uses Focal drivers costing over 10 times the price of the R1600T's and have over 60x the amount of power available to them, but for 52 quid they're a bargain.

I've given them a quick blast with some audiophile recording from Focal, Chesky, Sheffield Labs etc and the Edifiers fair pretty well. Hopefully with a bit of running in they'll loosen up and fill out at the bottom end a bit too. Certainly more than good enough for PC speakers.

Happy

After somewhere around 50-100 hours of music there was a noticeable increase in low end presence - its never going to be something they are known for but it does get a bit better than it is out the box.

Ultimately they are a good value for money flat response system that won't set the world on fire but solid for what they do.
