Looks like he is going for more VRAM. I'm not gonna jump in that debate though :)

The 8 pin connectors on the PSU are really split 6 pins+2 pins extra, for when the cards requires 8 pin power. So no, no need for special converters.

TBH I was was going for more VRAM but I've been 'out of the loop' with GPU's so now i'm not sure what to get?? lol want to stick with NVidia though,I only built this rig for Arma 3 ;)

Edit: new rig in sig.

Between a 680 4GB and a 770 2GB, I'd go with a 770.

Hell, I'd probably wait for the new AMDs to show up, but as you say you want to stick with NVIDIA, and they are being lazy rebadging 680's into 770's (which is basically a 680 underneath with slightly faster VRAM).

The true next gen card is the 780, but it's crazy expensive. GPUs are way too expensive and manufacturers too comfortable right now. They're just happy with the stalemate. Not a great time to upgrade TBH.

Very informative, just the sort of guidance I need ta...

Need to buy something soon or I know i'll spend my spare cash on the lash lol

Do you mind explaining why?

I'm not being sarcastic, would like to know why companies offer more on cards if (by the sounds of it) you don't need it?

Thanks.
