Hi all,

I'm looking to get an external battery pack so that I can charge USB devices.

I was looking at the PNY 7800 one, but was wondering if anyone had any recommendations other than this for under £40?

I would like to be able to charge iPad 4, iPhone 4, and iPhone 5. (not at the same time)

The main reason I want it is to give extra life to the iPad.

Any suggestions? There seem to be LOADS about!

Cheers,

G

/edit argh noob, please can a mod sort the typo in the title?

I'm looking at getting that one now for £38

Am I right in thinking that when the ipad runs out I just plug this in and then I can turn it back on and carry on using it? Or do you have to charge it with this before using it?

/edit also could I charge the Anker using my ipad charger if I used an appropriate usb cable?

thanks,

G

If you can use your device while charging over USB then while using this battery you will see no difference.

Sort of. The battery needs a micro usb cable to charge it, but any will do the job. The speed it charges largely depends on the power of the transformer bit that plugs into the mains.

Just be aware it'll take forever to charge via USB from a computer though, mine takes days.
