I might need to replace my aging i5-750

It's been a very long time since I looked at CPUs, and while I'm fairly sure it's the i5-4670K I'll be going for I'm not sure what motherboard I should get to go with it.

Basically my i5-750 bought at the beginning of 2010 has been happily running things ever since OC'd at 4GHz in an Asus P7P55D Pro. Recently (over the last two days) I've been getting random BSODs, each time with a different error, and I'm wondering if the recent spate of hot weather combined with the fairly heavy OC has finally done my CPU in. The BSODs can happen while idle (desktop), while active on the desktop (e.g. internet browsing, YouTube, e-mail) or occasionally when gaming.

I haven't seen any temps going crazy (max load temp, even in the hot weather, was 72 deg C), but the chip has had 1.35V going through it for a long time now.

On the assumption that I do need to replace the CPU & mobo, what combo would you recommend. Don't want to spend more than £400 if I can help it, and I plan to OC the CPU. Main use of my PC is gaming.

For reference the rest of my rig is:
Prolimatech Megahalems cooler (bought at the same time as the i5-750...will this still fit?)
8GB Corsair Vengeance low profile
GTX680
PSU is an Enermax Liberty 620W (it's probably 8 years old, but all the rails are still rock-solid stable). Best PSU I've ever owned!

Prolimatech Megahalems cooler (bought at the same time as the i5-750...will this still fit?)

It should do from what I've read on the internet. The measurement between the cooler mounting holes on intel motherboards hasn't changed in 3 years if what i read is correct.

socket 1156, 1155 and 1150 coolers are all interchangeable :) The sockets themselves are very similar as well. (physically speaking)
