Anyone fancy a beer In or around Reading?

I'd watch yourselves if I was you as when I met Agnes he was dressed head to toe in Leather.

And oh how you went weak at the knees...

Well, decided to go with the cack idea of staying in. My mates want to go to a 'club' and I really just fancy a nice ale in a little pub haha.

A club in Reading is hilarious and you made the correct choice.

Semi-cereal question : time to get new mates or be a bit more open with them about what you enjoy?

Agnes, I live just down the road from you in good old Wokingham - literally a couple of miles, if that! Pretty convenient, really. Almost...meant to be. The thing is...I'm free tonight and was thinking that I REALLY fancy a beer or two with some new blood. You could crash at mine as we have a spare room and I even know the landlords around here by name so we could get some proper service at the local pubs - they have a good selection of ales and there's lots of bric-a-brac on the walls to discuss and admire if we have any of those funny little awkward silences. I also know the Turkish dude who runs the genuinely awesome kebab van around the corner. Try a chicken one with 'burger sauce'. It'll be a great night. Thinking about it, we probably won't need the spare room.

They are dire mate! So bad haha, there is a handful of places I would drink in these days.

Allied Arms being the best at the moment.

I am watching this film.

I'm in Bracknell don't come here there's nothing to do!

Marlow, High Wycombe and Reading are always a good shout though Maidenhead pre 2005 I'd say was a good night out now though there's nothing there apart form the Hob, The Shisha Garden and once you're completely inebriated to the point at which you don't care any more Smokie's and Noctor's!

I would have probably been up for a few beers, Agnes. Unfortunately it is the GF's turn for a night out, so I am at home looking after my little one.

This could expand into a possible Reading meet? I know there are a few of us around and about the area.

How about a cider instead? :D
Basingstoke is doable, however if nobody else is up for a beverage then it'll probably be odd if I go :o

Only if it's Somersby... Addicted to that cider at the moment, it's just applejuice, noms! If someone else is up for it, then yes. I was meant to be in Basingstoke tonight for a date which is now cancelled as I couldn't be bothered and not in the mood for a million questions. So kind of fits in with pre planned time scales haha.

I think we should, it's not as expensive as London, dead easy to get to. It's 20 minutes from Paddington... Tons of Hotels/BnB's... Maybe we should.

Did you bring rubbers? And lube, you're not going in dry.

Is the nags head still there (One of the side streets off oxford road)? Was a brill little pub if you like ale :)

If it is and you haven't tried it, def check it out. Plus they will pull you "take out" gallon jugs if you want to carry on after closing (Or they did when I was last there a few years ago
