Local to me? I'll have a drink with you... as long as you're not chav/moron/weird/freak/goth*/have issues.
* Goth is in there because I don't need to be hanging with people that are trying to shout "Look at me!".

Had a few pints of their mango beer a few weeks ago. A little odd but quite addictive.
Never been a fan of it myself, but haven't tried the mango beer. I really dislike the metallic gloomy feel the bar has, but they do nice pizza.
OT - I went to the Blagrave Arms last night, newly reopened and refurbished.......little to my knowledge, I'm pretty sure its a gay bar now!

It is dark inside, though the terrace is good on a hot day.
No idea if the Blagrave is now a gay bar. I walk past it quite a lot and was pleased to see it had had a refurb. Would suprise me considering The Rising Sun is now a gay pub and it is just round the corner. Used to end up in there every Saturday night when I was a kid and it was a rock / indie pub.

Seen Edrof's post. Wow. We are becoming a very gay friendly town, that's three gay pubs within a mile.

Anyway my usual crawl is Oakford, Milk Bar, Allied Arms, Pavlovs & Turtle (late nightdrum & bass on Friday night).
Just saw the words "who previously ran The Granby" and had a good laugh to myself whilst at work.
Wynford Arms, Blagrave Arms and the Rising Sun? All within 10 minutes of my house. I have 2 gay couples living either side of me as well. Hmmmmm.
I remember the Wynford and the Granby being gay pubs, but the Rising Sun was a rock pub in my day.
Mine too, I didn't even know it had become a gay pub either, just taking peoples word for it.

Im cool with a Reading meet. Im only on castle hill so Zero Dec / Nags head is on my front door.
Im busy for the next 2 weeks tho, typical.
Pretty much bang on my local watering holes on a Friday/Saturday/Weekday haha. Although Milk Bar annoys me, I loved their comedy night but I have no idea when it is!
I don't go to Pavs anymore, since Fez shut, that place has just gone down hill. It's such a dive in there now.

I went there with a mate after the recent Ale festival... We walked in and I didn't notice as I was pretty smashed and she KNEW!!! Another Canadian mate of mine was sat very silently and awkwardly and I was like "sup? you ok?". Then I looked around and it dawned. We escaped to the turtle haha.

Still miss Fez. Really need another bar like that to open in town. Laid back vibe, good music and decent priced cocktails. Used to hammer down their White Russians after a load of pints. Soothing on the stomach whilst packing a punch.
