Hey guys,

I have looked at some tutorials for settings on YT and I have tried on of them. However the results were not good and it looked jagged and some of the colours were off.

Just want to know what you guys use for your settings and how you prepare your videos before rendering.

I also record my footage with FRAP's.

Sorry for double posting I am not sure about what category to put this in.

Thanks.

Record in full-size 1920x1080.

Render out to MP4 (cannot remember name but Vegas has a default MP4 profile you can edit), average bitrate of between 7,500bit/sec and 10,000bit/sec at the same 1920x1080 resolution. Set all you profile quality options to 'Best'.

Letting YouTube do ANY resolution resizes will DESTROY quality and clarity.

This is a 1920x1080 capture and render/upload as per above:

I capture with DxTory and Lagarith codec though (Far superior to FRAPS in my opinion)

I tried with dxtory and it cut the sound out of my game. I tried to record my TV speakers and stereo mix and it was still slient.

And for MP4 there are two companies sony and mainconcept. Each has multiple settings for 1080p. For mainconcept there is sony tablet and internet HD and for sony it has internet 1920x1080 30i.

Which one should I use and how do I fix my Dxtory?

EDIT: Also when I have my video from Dxtory there are black bars on the side will rendering get rid of these?

EDIT 2: I was not watching it in full screen that was why I has black bars and I managed to get sound by downloading the lame audio codec.

Average bit rate for me doesn't go as low as that. Am I looking in the wrong settings I am currently looking at customise template for mainconcept internet HD.

EDIT: I used the default settings for mainconcept HD internet 1080p with high profile and I got this: http://youtu.be/OUBI_lATLzM

I used a program called handbrake to convert my video to mp4 and I lost a lot of quality despite it still being 1920x1080. It did decrease in file size from 4gb to 50mb.

Hooray I think I have fixed it for Sony Vegas 12 I reinstalled yet again and it worked. I think my Sony Vegas 11 was conflicting with 12 as previously I had 11 installed as well. My render looks clean at the moment, just got to check final product...
