DR2 was rubbish anyway. Unless they can bring back the appeal and magic of DR1 (not sure what was so good about it but I enjoyed it to death and the other one just felt over complicated)

Rubbish, DR2 was awesome! :p

Not sure why you felt it was complicated? Having just played all 4 DR games back to back, the mechanics are identical between the games (albeit from Case Zero onwards it has a much better control scheme). You do the Cases/Scoops, you save survivors as you go along. No complications there IMO.

How can you say that? Why is DR2 rubbish?

What did you find so complicated about it?

I'm going through Off The Record now, and it's so simple......the only complicated thing I could think is the order in which you approach cases, but that's it.

That's not even complicated though. You do the storyline cases first, then the survivor cases while you're killing time waiting for the next storyline case. Simples :)

Must admit I feel pretty much the same with regards to DR1, DR2 just didn't have that magic.

I still have DR 1 to play through, I've tried half a dozen times but it just doesn't click. As a result I've never played DR 2 and its spin offs and 3 just looks more off the same, not saying that this is a bad thing, just that it's maybe not for me.

Complicated is the wrong word. A better description was that the larger environment made it less fun. I just loved DR1 and 2 paled in comparison, I can't exactly put my finger on why, hence i am not too fussed about DR3.

I'd be surprised if that were true, pretty much every other rumour I've read has pointed to end of November or start of December.

There's actually been a few rumblings of this date on GAF in the last week or so, it's almost as though Sony are waiting for MS to announce the release date so they can beat it by a week.

12 weeks next Tuesday then? Logistical nightmare! Though we don't know anything about where Sony are in terms of manufacture. Gut feeling is too early.
